  7. 7. | 7 THE DIGIMENTOR NETWORK • 30 digimentors across the community, 10 digimentors at TAMK (1-3 digimentors/school) • The network brings together representatives of faculties and schools to share knowledge and good practices from the perspective of their own field • Knowledge and ideas are shared to promote the appropriate use of digital technologies and thereby support learning, research, and community engagement.

THE DIGIMENTOR NETWORK | 8 Digital tools & environments Pedagogy • Peer support network that promotes digitalization in faculties and schools • Encourages to utilize digitalization, supports the use of digital tools & disseminates best practices • Digimentors are teachers from the faculties and schools they work in  pedagogical knowledge in their field + accessibility for their colleagues
  9. 9. | 9 DIGIMENTOR NETWORK RESOURCES • The Digital Toolkit (https://sites.tuni.fi/digitaltoolkit/): A website maintained by the Digimentor network featuring over 100 tips and good practices • A Moodle area that offers support and examples on using Moodle • A monthly newsletter • Trainings, news posts, publications, etc.
  10. 10. | 10 BENEFITS e.g., for a TEACHER • If I have a problem, I can contact a digimentor right away. We can meet and discuss the problem together. • Because they have pedagogical knowledge in their field (language teaching, engineering, physics etc.), they can work with the teacher suggesting e.g., tools • Online Fast Track English -> assessment, accessibility
