The past 3 months has been an interesting time for ROYD Tool Group and
with so much going on, they seemed to have gone by in a flash. As we
step into the new quarter, we want to share our highlights and update you
on what’s been happening. Let’s take a look!
What’s been
happening!
Trade Show Recap
The beginning of 2020 proved to be especially busy
for trade shows, exhibitions and conferences, with over
half a dozen in the first 6 weeks of the year. During this
busy period, we were pleased to meet customers across
the Travis Perkins, Grafton and other groups as well as
tradespeople at the Toolfair Alexandra Palace.
Whilst shows originally planned for the coming months
have been postponed or cancelled, we are very much
looking forward to meeting our customers and UK
tradespeople again when it’s possible and safe to do so.
Operations Team Success
The ROYD Tool Group operations team work endlessly
to ensure our warehouse is well stocked, clean, tidy and
above all ensure that our customers received the goods
they ordered in full and on time. Thanks to a great team
effort, the team achieved over 3 weeks without a single
error in January, making for a perfect start to the year!
Strategic Partnership for ROYD
ROYD have partnered up with Europa Worldwide
Group to help support the company’s strategic goals.
This transition comes after the widening of our product
range and massively increased throughout our products
as we estimate 1200 Cubic Meters of material to be
inbound into the warehouse for 2020.

2018 – 568 Cubic Meters
2019 – 741 Cubic Meters
Europa Worldwide Group are one of the largest
privately-owned transport and logistics companies in
the country who run award winning warehouse and
logistics facilities. Most importantly, we chose to work with
Europa for their strict health and safety compliance and
experience within their management team.

We are very pleased to be
welcoming Ben Hawkins to the team in April. Coming on
board as our Industrial Design Engineer, Ben will be taking
a lead role in our Research & Development team. Ben has
an exceptional understanding and ability within product
design, specification and sourcing and will be bringing a
lot of our design and prototyping in-house to speed up and
increase the number of market leading innovations we are
able to produce. Look out for more on Ben and the many
new innovations that’s coming soon!

The new ROYD website redesign
As experts in the construction market, we want to reflect
our knowledge and professionalism in order to position
ourselves as an authority in the field. As a result, we
felt it was important to make essential changes to the
ROYD Tool Group website to ensure we are providing
the most up to date content to our current and potential
distributors. Our brand new website includes a renewed
product, distributor and meet the team page, as well
as a careers page to attract top talent and provide a
smooth application process for potential candidates. Our
website also features a news page to help us effectively
communicate the latest ROYD Tool Group news to our
distributors.

Head Office Relocation
Due to the continuous growth of the team, ROYD Tool Group are excited to be relocating their head office to better
suit the development of the company during the next few years. The search for an alternative office has been high
on the agenda for quite some time and we are very pleased to announce ROYD Tool Group will will be moving to
our new head office once we are able to return to work. With three new members already joining the team in 2020,
our relocation will certainly have a great impact on the expansion of the team. We will communicate our new head
office address as soon as the move has been finalised.
Optimaxx Social Media
Since the beginning of the year we’ve been working
particularly hard on our social media efforts with
Optimaxx, running an ‘influencer’ campaign in
partnership with ‘Tradectory’, a leading online trade
directory. With dozens of top trades people using and
reviewing Optimaxx extreme performance wood screws
online and sharing their feedback, we couldn’t be happier
with the results. Since the beginning of the campaign our
Instagram page has almost quadrupled in following, and
thanks to the support of Tradectory we’ve had total video
views exceeding 360,000.

Due to the continued growth of “ACER” across the
UK and internationally, it has become increasingly
important to have a more relevant and less
conflicting brand name, to ensure the smooth and
continual growth of the brand. ACER is a professional
construction marker brand that has seen huge success
since its launch in 2017. As such, ACER quickly became
a popular choice for end users across the UK thanks to
its incredibly versatile range. To this end we are very
pleased to present the new “TRACER” brand which will
take over the place of the “ACER” name from 6th April
2020.
The TRACER range will continue to include the same
great products that we currently offer but with a
number of improvements. These unique products have
been designed to provide a solution for all marking
requirements into one tool in order to meet the
current trend for versatile ‘multi-purpose’ products in
the construction industry.
Including the Deep Hole Construction Marker that
offers the ability to mark 50mm depth in a 5mm hole.
The marker features a reversible double tip that
allows for marking thin and thick lines on a range of
materials, including tiles, timber, metal and plastic and
copper pipes.
The Deep Hole Pencil features an inbuilt sharpener for
maximum precision as well as the replacement 100mm
leads with an improved durable holster, designed to
protect the leads in the construction environment.
Boasting the ability to mark 145mm in a 6mm hole, the
Deep Hole Pencil makes light work of marking those
hard to reach areas.
TRACER will also see a new introduction to the
range, the all-purpose Clog-Free Construction
Marker. Available in black, blue and red the TRACER
Clog-Free Marker has the ability to mark on almost
every surface, including dusty and shiny surfaces.

frustrating job if you don’t have the proper tools to do it. Cut the
hole too small and you have to recut it. Cut it too big and you’ve
