Social Media marketing allows you to build your brand, connect with
specific target audiences, increase sales and drive traffic on your
platforms.

overtime, it will be a slow result. This is not something

PlayStations Marketing Strategy
PlayStation is the most followed brand on twitter According to UnMetric, they have had a 376% growth in
followings over the last 5 years.
PlayStation promotes new games using trailers, promotional posters and gameplay footage.
They have done so well on Twitter due to their constant attention to their community. Whether it’s
answering questions, resolving issues or expressing concerns, they are always on top of taking care of
these for their gamers.
In 2018 they ran a campaign of classic PlayStation games which geared them a ton of interaction from the
gaming community.
They are constantly and consistently posting daily and interacting with their gamers.
When covid hit they started a hashtag #playathome encouraging their gamers to stay safe and stay inside
the house. This was a very positive promotion they reminded everyone.
Chipotle’s Marketing Strategy
When TikTok was beginning to become popular Chipotle was one of the first brands to take a swing at promoting and
marketing on the platform.
Going to a platform such as TikTok allowed chipotle to cater to a more younger crowd.
They started with creating trends of challenges such as #chipotlelidflip which generated over 240 Million views. Their
second was #Guacdance which was much more successful with over 430 Million views in 6 days.
Chipotle saw a growth in digital sales of 88%, and a revenue growth of 14.6% to $1.4bn after their success on TikTok.
Red Bull’s Marketing Strategy
Red Bulls biggest strategy in the marketing world is their video-driven content. It has successfully shown to
appeal to all types of adventure sports fans. Their videos contain a range of content including live streamed
events such as music, gaming and motorsports and short documentaries.
They are most famous currently for their world record “Space Jump” back in 2012 that drew over 12.6 million
mentions on social media on the day it was posted.

success with over 134m views.
Their focus on experimental videos, subtle branding and clever partnerships have climbed them to the top on
the marketing their company.
How to Successfully Market Your Business on Social
Media?
When figuring out when to start marketing your business you want to be sure to know your target audience.
This is important and one of your first steps to successfully market. Without your target audience you will not have a starting
point.
Each platform you use will not have the same success with the same strategy. Each platform has a different set of audiences
whether it be age, sex and intrests. Such as Twitter and Facebook. The ad you make for Facebook may not bring you as much
customers on Twitter due to the difference in audiences. You must be able to adapt to the change and shift to make you
marketing strategy work for each platform.
It’s important to have goals set with your marketing. What kind of revenue you want to see from the money you’re spending on
ad’s, who you want the ad’s to reach, what your main focus will be. This is important in maintaining a consistent flow of
branding your business.

They don’t have a strategy
● Their needs to be a focused full strategy in place, which some businesses will lack in
● Have to develop some buyer persona which will help visualize their target audience
Lack of Resources
● Running a successful social media campaign time money and creativity, if you don’t have
the ability to do or have these things there is a higher chance of failure
● If you have to hire someone to help with these managing the platform, you may not have
the overhead cost to do so
Lack of Creativity
● In order to keep an audience engaged you must constantly be creating new and different
campaigns to run
