  3. 3. American Chemistry Council  The American Chemistry Council (ACC) is dedicated to supporting companies in the chemical business as well as ensuring modern products are safe for consumers. Recently, the ACC showed its support for legislation aimed at extending the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program by 15 months. The ACC said the CFATS program safeguards its members’ facilities, and vowed to continue its longtime support of the program. In a public statement, the ACC said regulatory certainty, such as that outlined in the CFATS program, is vital to maintaining safe chemical facilities and communities.
