HEADLINE- thename of singer; red colour – the same colour used inthe title of „‟THE MULTI-PLATINUM ALBUM OF THEYEAR‟‟- gives simple look, as well as it looks good inoverall page. The list of the songs in white- stands outvery well from black background, with the starts beforeeach name. The white colour has also been used in thename of the CD cover „‟THE DEFAMATION OFSTRICKLAND BANKS‟‟.The CD cover is on thebottom, left side, with the white frame as the CD coverhas got a black background, and without the frame, theCD wouldn‟t stands out. The singer- lookingsmart, serious, medium close-up, looking in the leftside, while holding the microphone- „‟microphone‟‟ whichhas been used in 60‟s 70‟s , very old fashion- eventhough this is Plan B new CD cover for 2010. Thedesign match with the music the singer produce as wellas with the song list. The idea of old fashion style-becoming popular even in 21st century, black and whitebackground with the singer. Good quality, soulfulmusic, stylish representing golden age, jazz clubs (nightclubs) Billie Holiday.

The CD cover is in thebottom, on the right side- the close-up of the singer face, looking downagain just like in the magazine advertisement, wearing bright redlipstick – matching with her hair colour and white title of her CD Cover„‟LOUD‟‟- which is very un-noticed in colour white, compare to her skintone, and bright pink lips and hair which attracts more attention;therefore people will pay less attention on her name of album whichshe is selling, and rather will focus on the singer‟s photo instead. •But, because there isn‟t a name of who‟s album this is, is veryunconventional, and the only message which suggests who‟s albumthis is, is Rihanna‟s face being the main point, and drag the mostattention- the idea of her feel comfortable about her popularity withinthe music industry; the idea of being known. The colour scheme-mostly used pink, red, and white- girly colour‟s- drag people‟s attention.Those colour scheme‟s match with the singer‟s song lists, as well as inthe music video of „‟ONLY GIRL (IN THE WORLD) where the singer

The black box on the bottom ofthe page, including information‟s about her new CD Cover called„‟Celebration‟‟ – in black colour. Within the box, those information‟sare in wide range of colourful scheme, such as:yellow, purple, blue, pink- stands out very well, while using thesame type of writing but in different size‟s.Interesting are the small pictures on the left side from the singer-very unconventional, show‟s the producer creativity; original ideasomething that haven‟t been seen in magazine advertisement yet;while promoting the CD cover. There are lot of pictures of thesinger, such as: the picture of Madonna in Andy Warhol style etc. Toshow the different stages of the singer career, as well as beingthankful to her fans still listening to her songs-catch people‟sattention. The the title‟s of „‟MADONNA‟‟ – white colour scheme, &“CELEBRATION”- simple- matching design, black colour scheme;can see the same font type; while using the same size‟s. It standsout well with the black box and the background; easy to recognizedwho‟s album this is, and what it‟s called, even though there isn‟t animage of the CD album of „‟Celebration‟‟- which seems to be veryunconventional and can be seen as disadvantages ; when people

The second image, long shot of the singer standing outside of building covered writing „‟graffiti art‟‟- match with the music he produce; gives a feel of Hip-Hop, Pop genre.There are two main pictures of this magazine advertisement, with two image of CD cover, one isin the middle with the massive title of the name of the album „‟HEADLINES‟‟ in white, bold writing-makes it well stands out and match with the another title of the singer‟s name „‟DRAKE‟‟ using thesame type font, but in different sizes, the name of the singer would stands out better from thename of the album- to drag people‟s attention, as well as it gives clear information who‟s albumthis is, and what it‟s called. The second image of the CD cover, is in the bottom, under the firstimage, with the title on the right side, which says „‟AVAILABLE NOV.15TH). This is veryunconventional showing two different images for one CD album; but it gives the whole magazineadvertisement a new feel, perspective, look, and design= which leads us to originality, but canleads to people‟s confusion, aren‟t sure of which one is CD cover.It is interesting to say that the producer uses a different font type in the title of the name of thesong „‟TakeCare‟‟ which is included in the album. We can see a italic, white writing- stands outvery well, drag people‟s attention, as there haven‟t been used any other titles which has beenwritten in italic technique.
