  2. 2. Introduction: Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections, such as chest infections (including pneumonia) and dental abscesses. It can also be used together with other antibiotics and medicines to treat stomach ulcers. It's often prescribed for children, to treat ear infections and chest infections. Amoxicillin is only available on prescription. It comes as capsules or as a liquid that you swallow. It's also given by injection, but this is usually only done in hospital. Drug name : Amoxicillin is available as brand-name drugs called Amoxil and Larotid.
  3. 3. History Amoxicillin was discovered by scientists at Beecham Research Laboratories in 1972. The narrow spectrum of antimicrobial activity of the penicillins, led to the search for derivatives of penicillin which could treat a wider range of infections. The first important step forward was the development of ampicillin. Plant name: Crop plant species Antibiotic Target species Concentration Amoxicillin Carrot (Daucus carota) 1–10 000 µg L−1 Chlortetracycline Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) Levofloxacin Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) Common name:protocarnivorius Latin name:Eridium
  4. 4. Habit: south Africa Taxonomy:1417791 Discerption: The shape of the flower is one of the ways to differentiate the sexuality of the geranium and the number. The geraniums have five perfectly symmetric petal leaves and are therefore radially symmetric (polyymmetric), while the two raised petals differ in the genus of the stigma from the three lower leaves and thus their flowers are symmetrical on one of the surfaces only (monosymmetric). Part use: Root Active compound plant: The percentage of oil ranges from 0.15 – 0.25% and the essential oil contains a high percentage of alcohols such as: Citrone, Linalool, Geraniol, Geraniol and also contains some esters such as: Geranyl Linalyl acetate and Linalool acetate. 02/09/2020 Active compound used in drug pelorgoes visnaga and khelloglycosides are the main active ingrdient of ammi visnaga used in drug. And the active ingredint of Cymbopogon proximus are proximadiol and terpenes.
  5. 5. Indication and usage of plant: Benefits in relieving (reducing) symptoms of severe and full-blown bronchitis and acute rhinosinusitis; However, the quality of this evidence remains minimal to very low. Indication and usage of Drug Pelargonium sidoides helps reduce cold symptoms. It is used in Europe to treat the common cold and bronchitis. In laboratory studies, this herb was shown to kill bacteria, viruses, and stimulate the immune system. Human studies show that it can reduce the symptoms of common cold and bronchitis. Dosage The usual dose of amoxicillin capsules is 250mg to 500mg, taken 3 times a day. The dose may be lower for children. Amoxicillin liquid is available in 125mg and 250mg doses.
