  4. 4. <ul><li>Most shopping websites require you to have an email address and a credit card </li></ul><ul><li>Keep your Personal Information safe </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Review ID Theft precautions – see handout </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Make sure the website you are ordering from has taken steps to insure your information is safe </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>i.e. Https:// OR Lock symbol </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Knowing the website or company </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>you are ordering from lessens </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>your chance of being ripped off </li></ul></ul>Things to remember before you begin

Important things to think about <ul><li>Always check the return policy </li></ul><ul><li>Check the cutoff date for Christmas delivery (or any other time of the year) </li></ul><ul><li>Remember that even online special services sometimes take longer </li></ul><ul><li>i.e. engraving, monogramming, or personalizing </li></ul><ul><li>Many online retailers allow you to ship directly to the recipient. </li></ul><ul><li>This can be a great time and postage saver, but the company will most likely charge extra for wrapping and/or a card. </li></ul><ul><li>Or they may not provide that service at all. </li></ul>

  8. 8. Add gift to shopping cart I want this IPOD So I click on “ Add to Shopping Cart”
  9. 9. Proceed to checkout I am finished shopping so I “Proceed to Checkout”

  11. 11. It walks you through the steps to check out First Shipping & Payment then Gift Wrap finally Place Order
  12. 12. At the end of the ordering process the last step will show you your complete order. Amazon also sends a copy to your email.
