Introducing DiveNation

 1. 1. Welcome to DiveNation
This is the Home Page...I’m a diver...let’s take a tour...
2. 2. Where do I want to dive?...hmm, Egypt...
What dive sites are there? What marine life can I see?
Who can take me diving?
3. 3. Let’s get rid of the dashboard and just have a look at the map..
4. 4. What’s nearby?Oh, I can search by distance/radius...
5. 5. Let’s have a look at MyDiveShop in more detail... OK, they have multiple branches...and I can see the dive sites nearby and the marine life spotted in the!
6. 6. Let me have a look at the marine life sightings in more detail...oh cool, Whale Sharks spotted in the area...
March-May look like good times to visit if I want a chance to see one...
7. 7. So what about the dive sites...30 close by...and I can see more detail here, with images , divers comments and reviews.
8. 8. That looks like a Whale Shark spotted at Abu Dishet...can I make the image bigger?
9. 9. Wow, that looks like a great dive!
Where do I book?
10. 10. The above is just a preview of the website…there is so much more to see and do…
For Divers:

Not only can you search by known dive location… what about just searching for where Whale Sharks or Manta’s have been spotted in June…as that’s the only time you can get away for a dive holiday this year…alternatively, you have a lust for rust or ripping drifts…no problem, you could chose to search for all the Wrecks or Drift dives around the world…or in a specific location…
 11. 11. For exploratory divers, DiveNation’s with you on your mobile. Found a new dive site? Got a phone signal? Once above water, you can drop a pin onto your very own dive map using your current location, name the dive, upload a topside photo there and then, or save that for later when you have uploaded your underwater shots. Want to share this site with the world? You can do so, or not! It’s your map and you can either make it your own or choose to share it with the Nation. And it doesn’t have to be an exploratory dive…you can use the App for all known dive sites and do the same.
 12. 12. Got a load of dives on your dive computer? If you can provide the data in UDDF format and you have the GPS co-ordinates logged…in a few clicks, you can upload them into your dive map…want to share them with the world…well, that’s you choice…
 13. 13. Native Facebook & Twitter integration allows divers to share/like/comment on dive’s and photos…when divers create a dive log…it can push out to your Facebook Account or Twitter feed…if you want it to…

For the Marine Environment:
Want to make your dives count? DiveNation shares all marine lift sightings with OBIS and GBIF whose data in turn is used to study marine life numbers and global distribution…valuable information required if we are to protect what we love. We also share specific sighting data with Shark Trust and Foundation for the Protection of Marine Megafauna… I am sure this list will grow. DiveNation gives all divers the chance to be Citizen Scientists.
14. 14. What does this mean for You?
Some stats for you…Sport Diver is the UK’s leading dive mag and is the PADI Diving Society’s official magazine.

93% of Sport Diver readers think the most important factor, by far, when booking a diving holiday is the diving quality. And what constitutes diving quality? First and foremost, the state of your local marine environment, the condition of the reef and the quality and quantity of marine life.
 15. 15. 61% of Sport Diver readers own an underwater camera and the launch of Sport Divers new mini magazine devoted to Underwater Photography shows the popularity of this diving activity. Underwater photographers don’t come to take photos of debris and damaged coral…they want to see and capture the diving quality and invariably share it with their diving buddies.

DiveNation provides a forum to share that information with divers and importantly, provides you with an opportunity to contribute to it.
By having your own User Profile, in addition to a Business presence on the site, you get all the benefits a Diver does…your own Map (which you will be able to use on your website or Social Media channels) a useful Mobile App, enabling you to share images topside and underwater, quickly and easily with whom you chose, a strong green/responsible marine tourism message given our links with leading global conservation bodies…by quickly logging (a few seconds at a time) the dives you undertake as an operator, the marine life you spot, the images you take, above and below water, you can showcase the QUALITY of the diving divers can expect with you, the fun and good times divers will experience with you and know that each of your dives count too as we will share all marine sightings with the appropriate conservation body.
DiveNationwill help to showcase your marine environment and the quality of diving divers can enjoy with you.
