• All students will be able to:
• Describe the benefits of a computer- based
activity for a child
• Identify parts of a computer
• Design a display to promote IT in a childcare
setting
• Many students will be able to:
• Recommend the type of IT activities suitable for
children aged 3-5years
• Some students will be able to:
• Analyse the IT activities available for children
Starter- Anagrams
• 1.Rearrange the letters of the word eat to make
something to drink.
• 2. Rearrange lemon to make something else to eat.
• 3. Rearrange wand to make a time of day.
• 4. Make three other words from the letters of the word
gallery.

• Devise rules for children to abide by when taking
part in computer based activities
• Demonstrate an IT activity to nursery children
• Many students will be able to:
• Reflect on the success of the activity
• Some students will be able to:
• Analyse the IT activities available for children
• Evaluate and identify areas of strength and
weakness

MEET YOUR OBJECTIVES • All students will be able to: • Describe the benefits of a computer- based activity for a child • Identify parts of a computer • Design a display to promote IT in a childcare setting • Many students will be able to: • Recommend the type of IT activities suitable for children aged 3-5years • Some students will be able to: • Analyse the IT activities available for children
  • 4. Starter- Anagrams • 1.Rearrange the letters of the word eat to make something to drink. • 2. Rearrange lemon to make something else to eat. • 3. Rearrange wand to make a time of day. • 4. Make three other words from the letters of the word gallery.

  • 7. Individual task • Use your sheet to write about the benefits of computer- based activities. • Remember- punctuation and grammar • Also consider children with additional needs
