The Glasshouses provide boutique Co-Working space in two repurposed retail spaces in Dun Laoghaire, GH1 & GH2 How Does it Benefit the Community? ● Provides an influx of fresh business people into the community. ● Provides high quality work & meeting spaces that enhance performance and the look of the streetscape. ● Provides additional new customers to the main street through Applifiate schemes for Glasshouses Members. What are your plans for the next 12 months? ● We are constantly promoting Dun Laoghaire as a premier Work Destination (“The Palo Alto of Dublin”), and always looking for the next GH3 @DunLaoghaireTn

Dún Laoghaire Town Doers #3 Paula Harris What do you do? ● I run the Cross Care Community Café to provide an inclusive space where all genres of the community can access a nutritious affordable meal. How Does it Benefit the Community? ● Our service aims to bring back a sense of community to all ages ● To provide affordable meals to our communities most vulnerable ● Through our team of volunteers be a support to those experiencing personal crisis What are your plans for the next 12 months? ● To work together with other services in community ● To extend our opening hours ● To access vital funding needed to maintain service @DunLaoghaireTn

Dún Laoghaire Town Doers #4 Marian Keyes What do you do? ● Over-see the continual development of the largest public library in Ireland. ● Promote leader Development and Exhibitions programme in dlr LexIcon How Does it Benefit the Community? ● dlr LexIcon consistently attracts over 520,000 people of all ages through the door per annum. ● dlr LexIcon is a central facilitator of the educational, recreational, cultural and informational needs of the community. What are your plans for the next 12 months? ● To continue to cultivate strategic partnerships with local community groups, schools, universities, embassies and cultural organisations. ● Rollout creative and cultural 5 year plans for DLR. @DunLaoghaireTn

Dún Laoghaire Town Doers #5 Eoin Costello What do you do? ● Run the not-for-profit incubation space above Bank of Ireland ● Helps local small businesses & social enterprises get the most from digital How Does it Benefit the Community? ● We deliver the Digital Dún Laoghaire programme of events & training ● With the support of DLR LEO, we deliver the Dun Laoghaire Town website What are your plans for the next 12 months? ● Grow the services provided to local business ● Look at other potential locations @DunLaoghaireTn

Dún Laoghaire Town Doers #6 Robbie Burns What do you do? ● Secretary, Dun Laoghaire Men’s Shed ● Working towards a future where all men in the local area have opportunity to improve and maintain their health and well-being by participating in a community-based Men’s Shed. How Does it Benefit the Community? ● Inclusiveness and respect of all regardless of abilities, develops community. ● Personal health and well-being of men through engagement in a variety of activities. What are your plans for the next 12 months? ● Develop further activities and projects as our membership grows. ● Expand our range of products on offer to the community. @DunLaoghaireTn

Dún Laoghaire Town Doers #7 Flossie What do you do? ● I run public weekly beach cleans in the Dun Laoghaire area. ● Write a weekly blog about plastic pollution and climate change. ● Publicise the plastic pollution and general rubbish we find on the beaches. How Does it Benefit the Community? ● Helps educate the local community as to what is floating around in our sea and how bad it is for our biosphere ● Shows children how much fun it is to beach clean and what can be made out of rubbish you find! What are your plans for the next 12 months? ● The plan for the next 12 months is to continue public beach cleans but also the charity has started workshops in junior schools about plastic pollution. ● Trying to get the council to agree to special signs that go up where we clean saying ‘If you see it, clean it! Plastic Free Irish Sea!’ @DunLaoghaireTn
