Vertrauen und Kollaboration discusses the importance of trust and collaboration for the acceptance of future e-government services. It argues that principles of open government like transparency and participation are key to involving citizens and businesses. Examples are given of projects that harness community input through brainstorming, discussion, and voting to improve patent processing, develop youth services, and give people a voice in politics. Trust and collaboration between government and those it serves are presented as critical success factors for digital public services.
