TUBERCULOSIS

through the air from person to person.
If not treated propely, TB disease can be fatal
People infected with TB bacteria who are not sick can take
medication to prevent TB disease from developing in the
future.

SYMPTOMS
 Abad cough that lasts 3 weeks or longer.
 Pain in the chest.
 Weakness or fatigue.
 Weight loss.
 No appetite.
 Chills.
 Fever.
 Sweating at night.

Treatment
TB disease can be treated by taking several drugs for 6 to 9 months.
Food and drug administration for treating TB of the approved drugs, the first-line-anti-
TB agents that form the core of treatment regimens are:
 Isoniazid
 Rifampin
 Ethambutol
 Pyrazinamide.
