  7. 7. What is Data Driven Testing When same test gets executed several times with different set of data then it is called Data Driven Testing. Data used in test is called “Test Data “. Test Data can reside in any external form like in Excel file, XML file or Databases.

Why Data Driven Testing When same test need to be executed many times on basis of external data When test data is not fixed and dynamic in nature Anything in test which is supposed to change should be taken out from test logic and stored in external source as data. Each time test logic will read these data to perform data driven testing.
