Children from 66 AID INDIA Eureka Superkidz
Centers in Vellore, Cuddaore, Kanchipuram ,
Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri participated in this contest.
3. OBJECTIVES
To help children voice their opinions and
participate in issues that affect them through
informed debates and discussions.
To actively encourage children on community
action to get their needs heard in the Panchayat.
4. PROCESS/ACTION TAKEN
1. The children took up the issue of “scarcity of drinking water” to
be addressed.
2. Children spotted that availability of drinking water in their
village was less compared to their actual needs.
3. Children identified the consequences of the improper
availability of drinking water.
4. They submitted their petition to village Panchayat heads in
Gramasabha meeting.

AVAILABILITY
Drinking healthy water is vital for a healthy
living.
Easy availability of drinking water to every
home is necessary for cooking & drinking
purposes.
Healthy drinking water keeps away diseases
6. LESS AVAILABILIITY ADDRESSED
Children spotted that availability of drinking water in
their village was less compared to their actual needs.
People had to travel long distances to bring drinking water
used for basic needs.
