Having got his first break at Channel 4, he moved to ITV to present the News at Ten in the mid-90s, before then switching to the BBC to host the breakfast show in 2002. Since 2008, Dermot has been a key figure at Sky News, hosting a lunchtime news round-up and his own Sunday morning show, Murnaghan, which deals with the week’s events and sees Dermot interview politicians, business leaders and influential sports men and women.
