Problem: Affordable Legal Services
Millions of Americans forego necessary legal services every year because they lack savings and discretionary income. In fact, according to the Legal Services Corporation, a nonprofit created to serve those unable to secure traditional legal services, there were approximately 65.7 million Americans in 2013 that would qualify to receive services from their organization. However, that same year they were only able to close approximately 760,000 cases. The potential for the underserved legal market amounts to $45 billion in unrealized income, which, similar to Uber, will create a new marketplace.
Opportunity: Affordable Legal Services
The significant difference between actual demand and access to affordable legal services that include a “human touch” presents a huge opportunity for NextGenJustice franchisees. Our easily accessible and affordable document library is designed to meet the everyday legal needs of individuals and small businesses throughout the United States.
Opportunity: Affordable Legal Services
The significant difference between actual demand and access to affordable legal services presents a huge opportunity for NextGenJustice franchisees. Our easily accessible and affordable document library is designed to meet the everyday legal needs of individuals and small businesses throughout the United States. NextGenJustice is not anti-lawyer – we are pro-consumer. Our customers need more support than national faceless websites without the high fees and other barriers of law firms. Our local stores offer the human touch and hand-holding that hardworking consumers, members of the military, and self-motivated entrepreneurs demand when they are overwhelmed by the minefield that our legal industry has become.
NextGenJustice provides easy access to affordable legal and tax services for individuals and businesses. Services are offered at a fraction of what they cost through traditional channels without sacrificing quality. Unlike online solutions, our “click and mortar” approach offers a supportive environment focused on personalized service for the customer. Our locations are strategically chosen and placed based on high population density for our target demographic.
Customer Experience:
NextGenJustice stores provide a delightful customer experience that online providers cannot match. Each store is staffed with team members that provide personalized support for every customer.
Product Distribution Method:
Additionally, our innovative product distribution method fuses today’s technologies with yesterday’s customer service values. Every NextGenJustice store is stocked with iPads for customers to place orders, create legal documents, and take care of taxes.
Real-Time Support:
Our stores are staffed by friendly, professionally-trained support personnel that are there to serve customers in person – no waiting on support emails or chat. Our legal forms and products exist in the cloud and all stores are able to receive updates on the latest changes immediately.
We developed a replicable process for adding additional franchisees through our own initial growth. We have identified key geographic targets that allow us to tap into existing demand for affordable legal and tax services. We have opened four (4) stores in two (2) states in our first 12 months using this method.
We have validated our business model and go to market plan and have generated substantial interest from franchisees and customers.
To accelerate NextGenJustice’s strong growth we will be creating franchise opportunities for entrepreneurs interested in being part of the NextGenJustice brand. Franchisees will be able to launch their own stores for $79,000. NextGenJustice will charge a franchise fee of 10% of gross store revenue for ongoing support as well as an ongoing marketing fee of $2,500 to promote the brand and generate leads for franchisees. Pooling the marketing budget and clustering the physical locations will allow us to be the “Starbucks of Legal,” both in person and online.
Our “turnkey” franchises will not only be easy to operate but ensure that a strong level of control is maintained. They will include: technology, website to promote and sell forms online and offline, branding, two week boot camp/ongoing mentorship, location finding, signage, advertising campaigns, social media support, and furniture
Our stores carry very little inventory and have high margins of between 50-60%. Stores can be operated with 1-2 people which keeps costs down. Americans that live paycheck to paycheck simply cannot afford anything that costs $200 per hour. The goal is to develop top-of-mind awareness so consumers know they have “another key into the courthouse” that is local and friendly with a human touch.
We plan to accelerate growth under this strategy for franchise participants. We will sell 20 locations in the first 12 months of being legally approved provided we are able to ramp up our team in the next 90-120 days.
We have indentified Florida, Georgia, and Texas as the areas where we want to sell franchises first. Clustering the franchise locations will give NextGenJustice the physical presence and credibility to provide customers the comfort that we are not only the leaders in the industry but the standard for legal and tax solutions. Digitally, we will focus our marketing lessons to ensure that our strong physical presence is matched with dominance online. The combination of multiple franchises in a market along with a strong digital presence and other tested marketing programs will ensure that we have customers’ top-of-mind awareness (TOMA).
Competition will come mostly from online providers and existing doc prep providers. However, our business model provides services that online competitors lack in many cases, including on-site notaries, tax service, and real-time support. Additionally, existing offline doc prep providers are highly fragmented with no cohesive process or brand to support their efforts.
Our “turnkey” franchises will not only be easy to operate but ensure that a strong level of control is maintained. They will include: technology, website to promote and sell forms online and offline, branding, two week boot camp/ongoing mentorship, location finding, signage, advertising campaigns, social media support, and furniture
