Executives’ Ransomware Concerns Are High, But Few Prepare for Such Attacks

Methodology
C-suite and other executives were polled
online during a webcast held on June 24,
2021 about cyber threat detection and
response. Participating executives held
leadership roles in areas including corporate
boards (36.7%), IT (34.4%), risk management
(12.2%) and security and privacy (6.7%).
Answer rates differed by question.
In some instances, immaterial amounts (e.g., +/-0.1%)
have been added to or removed from the “Don’t
know/not applicable” answer responses to bring results to
100% total for each question.

  • 2. Executives’ Ransomware Concerns Are High, But Few Prepare for Such Attacks Copyright © 2021 Deloitte Development LLC. All rights reserved. 50+ Methodology C-suite and other executives were polled online during a webcast held on June 24, 2021 about cyber threat detection and response. Participating executives held leadership roles in areas including corporate boards (36.7%), IT (34.4%), risk management (12.2%) and security and privacy (6.7%). Answer rates differed by question. In some instances, immaterial amounts (e.g., +/-0.1%) have been added to or removed from the “Don’t know/not applicable” answer responses to bring results to 100% total for each question.
