  2. 2. About the Project: Deconstruct called to support the London Fire Brigade to extinguish this substantial warehouse fire following disturbances in Enfield. Following a massive fire this structure continued to smoulder for almost three weeks. Due to the nature of the content of the warehouse and the fact the structure collapsed into itself, it prevented access for London Fire Brigade (LFB) to extinguish the flame. Deconstruct provided specialist equipment to move collapsed structures, enabling LFB to access and douse the remaining hotspots.

Project Challenges:The removal of fundamental elements of thestructure to enable LFB access into the heart ofthe 200m x 100m warehouse was key.These works were carried out by 25 and 45 tonneexcavators with specialist attachments.The works had to be coordinated with the LFBincident controller and involved accessing the heartof the site, removing structural elements and thenretracting to permit safe LFB access.These works took two weeks to complete.
