  • To set up a Twitter account click on the yellow Sign Up box on the top right of the Twitter.com screen
  • The Twtpoll is posted by the moderator a few days in advance of the chat time. It is an online poll where intending participants vote on their preferred topic for that week’s discussion
  • The weekly chats offer teachers and parents collaborative opportunities for exploring issues related to Exceptionally Able learners
  • To search for what has been said on #gtchat or #gtie type the hashtag into the search box at the top of the page
  • Tweetchat offers an easy way to manage online chats. Log onto your Twitter account, then open Tweetchat.com in another page.
  • Click “Allow” to let Tweetchat find your Twitter account. Enter the hashtag of the chat you wish to join in the search box then click “Go”
  • Type your message to #gtchat or #gtie and click “update”. Tweetchat will add the hashtag to the end of your tweets automatically but you must add it in manually if using the search facility on Twitter.com
  • To shorten a URL that will use up too many of your 140 characters, use a URL-shortener website
  • Just a brief sample of the educators and advocates involved in #gtchat and #gtie
  • A small sample of some resources we have found through Twitter and other social media platforms
  • Our website – please visit us and feel free to comment or contact us
  • The Dazzled and Frazzled Facebook page – we like to be “Liked”!
