  6. 6. Recommendations October 30, 2007 To whom it may concern: I am writing this reference at the request of David Rowan who is applying for a position with in your company. I have known David for nearly two years in my capacity as IT Department Chair at ITT Technical Institute. David’s technical curriculum helps prepare him for a position within the computer industry. His exemplary grades and attendance as well as has his involvement in extra curricular activities have brought great credit upon himself, my department and ITT Tech. David has a number of strengths to offer employers: High technical competency which gives him the ability to develop, maintain, and administer computer networks to include hardware and software management. Strong soft skills which enhance his ability to work with other employees, address customer issues, and train various personnel. Year of practical experience in both technical and managerial areas. In conclusion, I would highly recommend David Rowan. If his performance in my class is any indication of how he’d perform in your position, David will be a positive addition to your organization. Mike Prothero Chair, School of Information Technology
  7. 7. Recommendations February 21, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: Please let this letter serve as my personal recommendation for Mr. David Rowan, whom I have known now for nearly two years. I met him in the hallways of ITT Technical Institute, as the husband of one of my better-writing students; I was impressed by the easy way he presented himself. Later, when Mr. Rowan was a student of mine, my positive impression of him was verified. Not only was he easy going, but he was a serious and far-reaching thinker. From his personality and demeanor, to the quality of his work, David appears to put forth his best effort. He asked intelligent questions, worked well in groups, responded to others respectfully and was obviously respected by his peers. Prompt and diligent, Mr. Rowan not only completed each of his assignments as expected, but he typically went above and beyond, simply because his interest in learning went beyond the typical. If the way that David Rowan has carried himself in the hallways of ITT Technical Institute, or the manner by which he has applied himself in the classrooms of the same, is any indicator of the kind of employee or associate he would make as a professional, then I am doing more than putting my name on a full endorsement of this man. I am betting my own name on him, as well. Sincerely, David Schelter Instructor, ITT Technical Institute
  8. 8. Recommendations Mark Evans Information Technology Manager, PALnet / Adjunct Instructor, ITT 810-766-4149 1050 W. Bristol Rd. Flint MI 48507 February 1, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: I had the honor of having David Rowan in two of my classes at ITT Technical Institute while he was in pursuit of his degree. David has shown repeatedly that he is skilled in information technology, and is a voracious learner. He was consistently early for class, completed his assignments on time, and regularly contributed to class with questions, comments and personal insight. Towards the end of my Linux administration class, David showed himself to be a valued member of a group project he was a part of, through teamwork with other students and effective time management. David showed me he is very serious about his career in information technology. He is a grounded individual who has a reliable personality and ability to embrace an ever changing IT field. I heartily recommend David in his professional endeavors. Sincerely, Mark W. Evans Information Technology Manager, PALnet Adjunct Instructor, ITT Technical Institute
