 Today, a Byte is 8 bits.
 1 character, e.g. "a", is one byte.

3. Kilobyte (KB)
 A Kilobyte is 1,024 bytes.
 2 or 3 paragraphs of text.

4. Megabyte (MB)
 A Megabyte is 1,048,576 bytes or 1,024
Kilobytes
 4 books (200 pages or 240,000 characters)

5. Gigabyte (GB)
 A Gigabyte is 1,073,741,824 (230) bytes. 1,024
Megabytes, or 1,048,576 Kilobytes.

 341 digital pictures (with 3MB average file size)
 256 MP3 audio files (with 4MB average file
size)

6. Terabyte (TB)
 A Terabyte is 1,099,511,627,776 (240) bytes, 1,024

7. Petabyte (PB)
 A Petabyte is 1,125,899,906,842,624 (250) bytes, 1,024
Terabytes, 1,048,576 Gigabytes, or 1,073,741,824
Megabytes.

9. Processor
 The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is one of
your PC's most important components. It
handles all instructions it receives from
hardware and software running on the
computer.

10. Graphics Cards
 The GPU (graphics processing unit) is
responsible for everything you see on your
display, and is especially important for people
who like to play games or watch videos.

11. Memory
 RAM (Random-access memory) is a form of
computer data storage which stores frequently
used program instructions to increase the
general speed of a system.

12. Hard Drive
 Even a basic full-size PC should offer at least
500GB of hard drive space. Compact PCs,
however, tend to start at the low end with
capacities of around 160GB. At the upper end
of the performance spectrum, high
performance PCs may offer space for 5TB of
storage

13. Operating System
 An operating system (OS) is software that
manages computer hardware and software
resources and provides common services for
computer programs. The operating system is
an essential component of the system software
in a computer system.
