3. Since 2010 we have been fighting against the installation of a coal fired
power station in our locality already attacked by the largest cement plant in
West Africa.
Despite our alerts demands and sensitization at the level of the state
authority and donors have continued to unfold the project which is likely to
lose thousand of women their work and also a good part of the young people
living from fishing.
The Association’s ambition is to provide solar panels to schools, heart,
facilities and places of worship to encourage decision makers to commit to
renewable energies the city of Bargny is one of the most vulnerable areas in
the face of climate change source PANA (National Action Plan for Adaptation
to climate change).
4.
5. This vulnerability pushes the young people to take the canoes to go to Europe, the
population of Bargny live to 70% of the fishing and apart from the global warming
which affects much the fishing there are also the industries which settled in the
zone.
A coal fired power plant that discharges its coaling waters and sewage into the sea
the Port Mineralier and Vraquier which need 883 hectares in the sea to handle
product such as COAL ACIDE, SUFFER, PETROLUM, PRODUCTS, THE
CLINKER ect.
The OFFSHOR DEEP RUFISQUE OIL wells located in the fishing area of the
community. That's why we also consider making sensitization programs, training
for most of these young people to conversion projects looking for word to a
favorable response please accept the expression of our feeling the best
7. Reorganizing the urgent need for the communities to join forces in reducing
fusil gases and promoting greener environment.
Pursuant to the recommendations as adopted in the UN intergovernmental
agreement referred to as climate change accord of Paris, and well informed
of the dire consequences communities have faced such as extreme weather
conditions of heat, drought and hash rainfall.
Convinced that the young people have a role to play in adapting and
mitigating climate change and leading fusil free environment where
communities use innovation to promote use of clean sustainable renewable
resources.
8. We as the Young African leaders talk and action on climate change resolved to do
theollowing:
Planting one million (1,000,000) trees in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya.
• Support communities to install solar panels and ‘use Biogas:
• Help local communities which lacked access to electricity and most of families
relied on firewood as source of energy which led to massive loss of trees. We
• Supported 200 families to install solar panels and setting up of Biogas to help
them in providing clean energy that would promote the sustainable future of
our environment.
• We help educate communities about the
• climate change and the importance of use of renewable energy for cleaner and
• sustainable environment.
10. The preservation of biodiversity and the
conservation of natural environments are
issues that raise global thinking, as do
climate change and environmental pollution
in general. Energy supply in Mauritania is
dominated by energy wood and petroleum
products that meet two main needs, namely
cooking and lighting.
11. In this context, in view of a contribution to mitigate on
the one hand, deforestation, its negative impacts on
the environment and those resulting from massive
garbage deposits on the other hand, it is envisaged to
produce energy for use and fertilizers for agriculture
from locally generated waste. This proposal is a
renewable, reliable, healthy, accessible, efficient and
decentralized alternative. The digesters produce
biogas for cooking and lighting but also a rich natural
fertilizer from the anaerobic decomposition of cow
dung and / or organic household waste
12. ECONOMIC RESULTS
• job creation;
• Increased income of biogas beneficiaries through increased crop yields
and time savings
• The creation of a biogas alternative to firewood: reinforcement of a
• microenterprise in the field of biogas
PROPOSED DIFFUSION SCENARIO FOR DIGESTER
• Popularization and training of local workers, on the device, installations
and monitoring operation.
• Self-construction internship
• The Biogas project plans to install family bio-digesters from rural
households through a micro-enterprise (Start-up) for the production of
family bio-digesters and an NGO. This ensures the sustainability of the
project.
15. The Children’s Eco Village is a Green, Clean,
Productive and Pleasant environment designed
