Engaged in a national project of the Slovak republic we are helping the pedagogical and psychological counselling staff to effectively assess children with disabilities and by moving the mostly used diagnostics instruments as well as some of their administrative work to the e-world, sparing time for them to focus on what is important -. the children.

2. Specific goal of the NP
To support social iclusion of people with special
edicational needs (ŠVVP) through enabling them to
access to development of skills needed in the labour
market and to support further education of people
working in the integration to society area of the people
with special educational needs.

Streamlining the system of educational counseling and prevention
("VPAP")
Counseling support of education and specialist preparation for
primary school pupils with special educational needs („ŠVVP“)
to ensure their social integration / inclusion and success in the labor
market
Managing socio-pathological phenomena among students,
counseling assistance for their social integration, support of
learning-professional interests, adequate educational aspirations
and effective preparation of students preparing to enter the labor
market
Support of further education of people employed in the system of
educational counselig and prevention
Inovation of counseling methods, methodologies and tests
4. Main outcomes of the project
Improving the effectiveness of the system of educational counseling and prevention through
systemic measures:
Modernization of its material and technical equipment, supplementing methodologies, methodological
tools, new professional resources, equipping expert libraries of schools and school facilities, through
creating a portal of VÚDPaP for the VPaP system
Innovation and development of new methodological tools, processes, adaptation of international
methodologies; digitization of diagnostic processes, e-versions of the methodologies; VÚDPaP portal for
the VPaP system
Promoting professional counseling services of the VPAP system among parents and the general public
Improving interdisciplinary cooperation in the VPAP system, also between individual counseling facilities,
among CPPPaP, CŠPP and educational counselors in schools
Improving awareness of pupils with special educational needs and their parents about the world of work,
the possibilities of vocational education and training, of professional opportunities in the labor market
Proposals to improve the status of educational counselors, their working conditions in schools, streamlining
management system in the VPAP system, using the outputs of the process analysis of the system VPAP

12. Benefits of the NP for primary
schools
Primary schools will be involved in the new strategy guidance system in Slovakia aimed at
eliminating socio-pathological phenomena in the school environment and prospective
applicability of primary school students in the labor market
The primary school will be IT networked through a data repository with 1,300 participating
primary schools in Slovakia and 82 counseling facilities CPPPaP and CŠPP
Primary school gains online access to the data storage of NP with access to modern diagnostic
tools and methodologies aimed at career counseling for students with special educational
needs and the latest information from the counseling system in Slovakia
Primary school will have, through school counselors in collaboration with psychologists and
special educators, secured systematic solution of the issue of pupils with special educational
needs.
The professional counseling competence of school counselors will increase
The offer of technical cooperation through the NP remunerated in form of agreement regarding
work performed (innovating new methodologies, reviews’ assessments, teaching activities,
etc.)
13. Examples of methodological tools for all target
groups of the NP
COMDI - a computer program for diagnosing study - professional
perspectives of primary school pupils - in our conditions the only method
(program), that diagnoses the competences of the pupil (the client) and can
compare them with the requirements of professions
Test measurement of technical talent - a test for the detection of scientific
and technical interests of primary school pupils
Test Learning styles of students - a methodology to identify what form of
learning student prefers, i.e. under what conditions are they best focused on
studies, what environment is preferred when learning new or difficult
information
Test the technical and practical understanding - an appropriate test
when searching for technical talents, who need maximum support of their
orientation towards technical direction

16. Innovation of the National Project
Innovation of the methodological tools has a dominant importance in the
project (e-versions of tests, methodologies, re-standardization of the
diagnostic tools, continuous updating of standards, data collection through
the portal)
The introduction of ICT and digital data storage is a turning factor in the
development of career counseling system, it allows the processing of
system of information about occupations and provides the possibility of
matching the requirements of the world of work with the competences, with
personality qualities of the individual
Addition of specific methods for career counseling, that will allow to
compare the individual's personality qualities with the requirements of
professions - in the project, we want to pilot verify the use of the COMDI
instrument
