  4. 4. Aspen Medical Products Irvine, California February 2003 - August 2006 Designer Oversaw projects from initial concept phase through to the release of the product. This included producing the documentation necessary for company record keeping. Developed new concepts and methods aiding in the simplification of the product Implemented ergonomics and human factor within the product as well as performed testing on subjects. Trained and oversaw department personal. Developed various medical products from low cost version to the premium line. Initiated creative ideas that delivered breakthrough results in the product line.Managed projects from the conceptual stage through to the release of the product, which includes documentation for FDA approval and CE certification. Notable Achievements: • A low cost universal cervical collar that made use of the Company's existing manufacturing methods with a reduced part count. • A premium long term wear cervical collar utilizing manufacturing methods new to the company. • Redesign work on a critical component of a back brace that reduced parts count and eliminated performance problems. • Assisted in the company’s transition to utilize new manufacturing methods and was responsible in defining a “family” identity throughout the product line.
