03) Pergamum

  1. 1. Compiled and Presented by: Letters to the Churches Dave Stewart 29 June, 2008 Las Cruces, NM #03 www.churchofchristmiranda.com What All Are You Trying to Hold On To? Revelation 2.12-17 Synopsis: The church in Pergamum was struggling with compromise. They were trying to hold on to Jesus, but some of the Christians were also trying to hold to false worship and sexual immorality. Jesus, who wields a sword will come in to separate if they do not repent. This lesson reminds us that we must be careful of the dichotomy of attempting to hold on to two opposites. Hold fast to Jesus. “Unless otherwise indicated, all Scripture quotations are from The Holy Bible, English Standard Version, copyright © 2001 by Crossway Bibles, a division of Good News Publishers.
