Master Data Management is much more than back-end, batch data reconciliation. Availability of power data sources, increase in computing power, and increased comfort with social collaboration and feedback tools create new ways data stewardship can scale and take place within and across organizations.
Even with such tools, stewardship can't be as effective without having the right business context, where many organizations still treat each record of equivalent value, feeling overwhelmed by potential clean up efforts and not being able to put in place targeted work flows.
In this presentation, we will discuss:
- What is social data stewardship and how it is different than traditional approaches
- Ways of assessing data content for value and how it can be channeled for action
- Tools available today to enable broader participation and to assess quality of recommended actions
