  4. 4. Ya tenían los antiguos Celtas conocimiento de lasancestrales aguas termales del Alligal, quebrotaban libres desde el suelo. Su dinamismo ytemperatura nos evocan a leyendas y mitos.El respeto por la horizontalidad del paisaje que danombre a la comarca (Terra Chá, Tierra Plana), lapotencia de los volúmenes limpios de granitomacizo y la sabia discreción de los materialeslocales influyen decididamente en el proyecto.En el ambiente casi mágico de este parajeimpactante, bajo la envolvente humedad de lalluvia y de las emanantes aguas, el silencio máselocuente de los materiales ha sido la marcadaestrategia de este proyecto.Superficie: 4 000 m²Presupuesto: 3,25M €

Maria Jose Jove FoundationLa Coruna, SpainThis was the first project ofthe Maria Jose JoveFoundation in 2004, the firstfact to materialize all theillusion and commitment forthe disadvantaged Childhood.From the very first moment,design was approached fromthe point of view of a childthat met the Foundation andits kindergarten: which humanvalues should he/she find?The design follows 4 drivingforces, four principles thatany healthy child should bebrought up with: a warmwelcome, the feeling offreedom, the desire ofgrowing, and the attitude ofservice, shown by theFoundation employees.Area: 500 m²Budget: 320 000 €
  6. 6. The first experience thatany child must have fromthe Foundation is a warmwelcome.It is expressed by a bigcurved wall which hugswhoever enters into, andmakes up the waiting room. The heart of the project is an indoor playground, sculpted by two convex bright walls. An expanded space to expand children’s feelings. Children’s growth is expressed by the series of classrooms, which stick out to the corridor gradually. Service (admin) is what moves this organization; but service is quiet, so it must be developed in the background, behind the scenes, represented by the curved walls.
