2. RELAXED PERFORMANCES
Designed for people who prefer a more relaxed
environment, including people with an Autism
Spectrum Condition, Asperger Syndrome, sensory
and communication disorders, or a learning disability.
There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement
and some small changes made to the light and
sound effects. Information on sound effects and a
social story will be made available to patrons.
Only available for select performances.
LARGE-PRINT CAST SHEET
Large-print, plain text copies of the cast
sheets for Merrigong Theatre Season
shows are available upon request
(with five days prior notice).
AUDIO DESCRIPTION
Select performances are audio described
for patrons with low or no vision. Actions,
expressions and gestures are described by
professional describers trained by Vision Australia.
Patrons who are blind or vision impaired will hear
the description through headsets. Please request
this service at the Box Office at the time of booking.
TACTILE TOURS
Before the commencement of audio described
performances, patrons have the opportunity to come
on stage and participate in a 30-minute tactile tour
of the set and costumes. Being among the scenery
establishes the scene for the participant and allows
for a deeper theatrical experience for patrons who
are vision impaired or blind. To access, contact Box
Office at the time of booking.
PARKING
On-street parking is available in the areas around
IPAC and Wollongong Town Hall. Pay and display

There are limited parking spaces for holders of a
disability badge, 1/4 hour parking and drop-off zones
on Burelli Street. Street parking is free on Saturday,
Sunday and public holidays but time restrictions
may apply. Please allow sufficient time for parking.
