Honoring Winners
August 26, 2012, Santa Barbara, CA. Marilu Henner, New
York Times bestselling author and actress, helped
honor the 2012 Global Ebook Awards winners at the
August 18 Awards Program and Dinner at the elegant
University Club in Santa Barbara, California. The
finalists from each category were announced by radio host,
MC Bill Frank and simulcast worldwide. Winners in each

This exciting ebook celebration featured hundreds of award winning ebooks
from 16 countries from nearly 1000 entries. The 246 judges, knowledge-
experts, in each category, read through more than 100 fiction and non-fiction
categories including: Best eBook Cover, Best eBook Trailer, Best Illustrations
and Best Multimedia in an eBook to determine the 2012 ebook winners.
Dan Poynter founded the Global eBook Awards because he believes that
ebooks are the future for authors. Dan Poynter loves ebooks and he is
committed to helping ebook writers and publishers. Since 1969 he has written
and published 133 books. He is the leading authority on ebook marketing,
promoting and started the Global Ebook Awards to help authors be known for
their ebooks.
The 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner was received by James A. Cox,
editor–in-chief of Midwest Book Review for his 35 years of dedicated book
review services to the global book community. Established in 1976, the
Midwest Book Review publishes an average of 800 book reviews per month
specifically designed for librarians, booksellers, and the general reading public.
Marilu Henner received the 2012 PR Award for the best media campaign for the
Lunch of her new book, Total Memory Makeover.
