(Dec 12, 2011) – Ferm Solutions Inc, a leading research, product development, engineering,manufacture and technical service provider to the brewing, distilling and fuel ethanol industries, todayannounced plans to expand by adding a Technology Center to its Danville facility. The company plans toinvest $1 million in the state-of-the-art Technology Center and add five new high-tech jobs over the next twoyears.“When Ferm Solutions reached capacity at our current facility, we reviewed a lot of options to expand both inand out of Kentucky. The company worked with state and local economic development officials to expand itsfootprint at the current facility. The efforts resulted in state and local grants secured through the support ofthe Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and the Danville/Boyle Economic DevelopmentPartnership, which allowed Ferm Solutions to remain in Danville and add the required infrastructure forgrowth.”Based in Kentucky, Ferm Solutions is a global bioscience company that consolidated its entire operation inDanville in 2008, when it purchased the previous Rexel Electronics facility. Currently, the company has atotal of seven employees based in Kentucky and three employees located outside the state. The 3,750- square-foot expansion will house a more advanced bioscience laboratory, training center and facilities to supportcustomers and commercialization of innovative new products.   2. 2. The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved Ferm Solutions, Inc., for a$75,000 forgivable loan through the Office of Commercialization and Innovation.
