It is a powerful software for data management, business intelligence, advanced analytics and more. The pharmaceutical industry heavily depends on SAS programming for data manipulation and statistical analysis. There will be more data in the health care industry to analyze because all the data including the pre-clinical and clinical trial data become standardized. Nowadays Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires SAS transport files generated by SAS XPORT.
