2. PURPOSE AND MISSION
To show love for our country and contribute
to the economy of Tanzania in the industry of
TOURISIM.
Students of UCC will learn more about
National reserves and enjoy the beauty of
Tanzania as part of citizens of Tanzania.
TOUR will enable each participant to see the
animals available in SAADAN NATIONAL
PARK.
3. LOCATION
SAADANI NATIONAL
PARK is found 311 km
from Dar es salaam via
Bagamoyo road near
Tanga, and it is the
place where the wild
animals are reserved.
4. ABOUT SAADANI NATIONAL PARK
Located in the centre of the historical triangle
of bagamoyo, pangani and zanziber, saadani
national park covers 1100km2. it is the only
wildlife sanctuary in tanzania bordering the
sea.
About 30 species of larger mammals are
presente as well as numerous reptiles and
birds.
5. WHY IS SAADANI SPECIAL?
In the centre of the historic triangle of
Bagamoyo, Pangani and Zanzibar,
Saadani Game Reserve is one of the few
wildlife sanctuaries bordering the sea. It
offers the unique combination of both
marine and mainland flora and fauna in a
historically and culturally fascinating
setting. Elephants have been rumoured to
bathe in the Indian Ocean off the Reserve’s
coast, green turtles come to its beaches to
breed, black and white colobus monkeys
frolic in the canopy of the evergreen
Zaraninge Forest. Roosevelt Sable
Antelope too have their home here.
Besides game drives visitors can relax on
the beach, go on foot safaris or venture up
the Wami River by boat, braving waves
and hippopotami, past crocodiles and
flamingos.
6. UCC STUDENTS
Under the collaboration of university of dar
es salaam students, the ideas of visiting
Saadani National park has been approved
and elaborated following each step to visit
SAADANI as per national development
strategies.
Students have cooperated to support tourism
industry in Tanzania through visiting
SAADANI NATIONAL PARK.
7. TOUR STRUCTURE
Walking safari will be during DAY TIME from
6:30am to 6:30pm.
Each walking group will not exceed 10 clients
and will always walk in single line.
An armed TANAPA ranger will always be in the
front while the guide will move about interpreting
to clients.
The operator will be responsible for the medical
insurance of their clients.
The operators will provide a professional guide
for interpretation.
8. Walking will not be done where there are
wildfires, insecurity problems or special park
operations.
The operators will ensure that
communication and first aid kit are available
all the time.
Monitoring will be affected on the activity and
a review will be carried out once every year
for five consecutive years.

10. DEPARTURE
The safari will start at MAKUMBUSHO bus
terminal, at 6:30am 16/05/2015. Reporting
time 5:30am, TIME IS CONCERNED.
For those who are living via Bagamoyo
road, the bus will pick you at MAKONDE
bus station.
THE RETURN FROM SAADANI WILL
START AT 5:30PM 16/05/2015.
