  2. 2.      K.M. Birla born on 14th june 1967. He is a fourth generation member of birlas family. He has done CA from ICAI & MBA from London Business School. He married to Neerja Kasliwal at the age of 22. He has having three children Ananyashree , Aryaman Vikram and Advaitesha.

It is one of the three biggest producers of primary aluminium in Asia. • Among the world’s top 10 cement producer globally.

The group selected the rising sun as the logo, which signified optimism and served as a unification symbol for the group.  “The new corporate logo helped in bringing various companies of the group together. This helped the organization to reenergize and get started to the path of change”. 
  7. 7.   In the last 17 years, we have made around 26 acquisitions, in India and overseas. Among them are Novelis (Canada), Mount Gordon and Nifty Copper Mines (Australia), Liaoning Carbon Black (China)2 and, of course, UltraTech from L&T, Indal from Alcan, Madura Garments from Coats Viyella, In May 2007 Hindalco acquir Novelis and this transaction made Hindalco the world's largest aluminium rolling company.
