  1. 1. Looking into Trailers - Teaser Trailer - Theatrical Trailer - Television trailer - DVD Trailer
  2. 2. Teaser Trailer urbandictionary.com: - a trailer for a video game or movie that offers little in plot, characters, actors (in the case of movies) or gameplay (in the case of video games). teaser trailers are usually released about a year and a half to two years before the final product is released. • A teaser trailer is a short clip which has been created in order to promote an upcoming film which will be out in the cinema. • A teaser trailer is made and shown during the early stages of filming (main reason why not a lot of narrative is shown) to generate a sense of mystery. Advantages Disadvantages - ‘Teases’ the audience meaning that they will automatically want to see the film as they have only seen limited parts of the narrative. - If it is not a successful trailer and doesn't meet its main purpose of teasing the audience then they will not have an audience due to the short narrative.
  3. 3. Theatrical Trailer • A theatrical trailer is a clip which has been created in order to promote an upcoming film which will be out in the cinema. • A teaser trailer is made and shown during the late stages of filming (main reason why a larger narrative content is shown) to remind the audience of the upcoming filming tell them of the release date which will be soon after the (theatrical) trailer. Advantages Disadvantages - The audience will have more content to preview, meaning that they will understand the narrative better and therefore will be able to make a conclusion of whether they should watch the movie. - If it is not a successful trailer and doesn't meet its main purpose of attracting the audience with the narrative of the film then the audience will not want t view the film in cinema. - The audience will be reminded of a certain film which they have seen the teaser trailer for and if the release date will be shown they will start making plans of the day and tell other people of the release date.
