Materials used for glass-lined steel repair  Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) – Plastic material inert to virtually all chemicals – Superior non-stick properties – Material used for nozzle repair sleeves for glass-lined reactors  Tantalum – Tough, ductile metal – Used in corrosion resistant applications in environments no other metal can withstand (resistance very similar to glass) – Often used with glass-lined steel reactors as patches, dip tubes, piping and overhead condensers.
