Curry Todd has worked on the Shelby County Conservative Republican Club, the East Shelby County Republican Club, Republican Women of Purpose, and the Shelby County Republican Women. He is a constituent of the NRA and the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
2. Curry Todd is a Republican State Legislator who was
first nominated in 1998. During his time in office,
Curry Todd has worked with distinction. He has been
a constituent of the House State Government
Committee, the House Business and Utilities
Committee, the House Business and Utilities
Subcommittee, and the Tennessee Peace Officers and
Training Commission. Curry Todd was appointed by
Tennessee Governor Lamar Alexander to draft, plan
and enact uniform standards of employment, training
and certification for police officials in the state.

3. Curry Todd was nominated by the
Peace Officer’s Standard Training
Commission (POST) to draft and
enact police legislation with the
Tennessee General Assembly, and
stayed in that position from 1981 to
1987. He has worked on Legislative
Study Committees in the Tennessee
General assembly in the area of
corrections and criminal justice, and
worked as the Chairperson of the
subcommittee on drafting law
enforcement legislation.

5. Curry Todd has received many honors since first being
nominated to the State House. He has been recognized with
the Tennessee PTA Life Time Achievement Award in 2006, the
Tennessee Home Educators Association Lawmaker of the Year
Award 2001, the Award of Excellence Shelby County PTA Award
in 2008, the FedEx Forum Lawmaker of the Year Award in 2009,
and the Tennessee Association of Nominated Officials
Lawmaker of the Year Award in 2010.
