  9. 9 - ASPHALT REMOVAL - EXCAVATION - OVERHEAD CATENARY SYSTEM (OCS) FOUNDATION - DUCT BANK - SAND LAYER - INSULATION LAYER - BACKFILL - BARRIER WALLS - TRACK SLAB - RAILWAY - TRAFFIC SHIFTING Excavation depth is 2 to 6 metres; width 8 metres. How we build the guideway 8
  10. 10 Intersection Paving 10 • CTS requires temporary changes at intersections from Credit Union to Ionview for road paving: – Eglinton is being widened and road must be paved before guideway installed – Traffic restrictions required for two weekends – one weekend for each side of the intersection – Credit Union/Swift & Bermondsey/Sloane require six weeks for each side of the intersection • Not full intersection closures. – Eglinton remains open in both directions at all times – Work will not take place at adjacent intersections – Emergency services access maintained

  12. 12 Intersection Guideway Construction 12 • After paving temporary changes at intersections from Credit Union to Ionview required for guideway construction: – Work carried out in the middle of intersection – No through north/south traffic for six weeks; traffic maintained on Eglinton – Signal timing will be set at the intersection and adjacent intersections to keep traffic moving • Restrictions are not full intersection closures. – Eglinton remains open in both directions at all times – Work will not take place at adjacent intersections – North and south traffic can access Eglinton at all times via right turns – Eglinton traffic can make right turns to access north and south streets – Emergency services access maintained
