Getting Clear About Coaching

 1. 1. Getting Clear About Coaching
 2. 2.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a powerful, professional relationship helping people make important changes in their lives. Coaching begins with the present, ‘what is’, and works toward the future, ‘how you want it to be’.

Most coaching is by phone, so your coach can live next door, in the next state or across the country.

In any case, confidentiality is ensured.

 3. 3.

What is co-active coaching?

Co-Active is a style of coaching that involves the active and collaborative participation of both the coach and client. A co-active coach challenges you to realize your own wisdom and resources.

My role as a coach is to provide you with gentle but persistent accountability as you create a life that you love. You set the direction and the goals; my job is to keep you moving forward.

 4. 4.

What is co-active coaching? (continued)

We’ll tailor a program together, but the agenda comes from you.

It’s like having your own personal navigator for the journey of your life: someone who will help you find your way and stay on course.

 5. 5.

What’s the difference between coaching & counseling?

While therapy focuses on your past, coaching takes you from where you are to where you want to be.

 6. 6.

What’s the structure of coaching?

Most coaching is done by phone. It begins with a “Discovery Session” (in person if you wish) and then takes the form of three 40-minute coaching sessions per month by phone. This structure can be customized.

 7. 7.

How long is the coaching process?

A commitment of 3 months gives you the opportunity to experience results in the process. The length of a coaching relationship is typically 6 to 9 months. But it is not uncommon for coaching relationships to last a year or more, depending on your circumstances.

 8. 8.

What’s the next step?

Contact me today to schedule a free sample coaching session. Our half-hour session by phone will give you a chance to experience coaching… and you will get the benefit with no cost or commitment.

Let’s talk!

www.CornerstoneCoaching.net
