  6. 6. 6 Testing Capabilities Fenner Precision owns a well-equipped testing laboratory that can simulate the environment of an ATM. Our on-site laboratory includes facilities for: Rheology testing Hardness testing Tensile testing We are also able to simulate an extended belt life cycle with our environmentally controlled dynamic testing chamber. This chamber has a temperature range of -400C to +700C. The pulley setup from our long term StretchBand testing equipment. It simulates the convoluted path a belt may take in a cash machine. An eccentric pulley replicates a stack of notes passing through.
  7. 7. 7 Coefficient of Friction and Electrical Conductivity Results of testing a Fenner Precision StretchBand and a competitor’s belt. Belt Typical Belt Face Coefficient of Friction Fenner Precision 0.65mm Seamless Elastic EPDM Belt Impression 1.07 Plain 1.07 Competitor 0.65mm Seamless Elastic PU Belt Manufactured (Gloss) 0.48 Ground (Matte) 1.02 Belt Typical Belt Face Electrical Conductivity (MΩ) Fenner Precision 0.65mm Seamless Elastic EPDM Belt Impression 0.28 Plain 0.29 Through 0.27 Competitor 0.65mm Seamless Elastic PU Belt Manufactured (Gloss) 0.48 Ground (Matte) 726 Through 1000 Electrical Conductivity Coefficient of Friction
  8. 8. 8 Fenner Precision StretchBand Tension during Accelerated Life Testing InstalledTension v. RunningTime (as years) Testing of Fenner Precision’s 1.0mm seamless elastic EPDM StretchBands.
  9. 9. 9 Tension Decay Comparison A comparison between Fenner Precision’s seamless elastic EPDM StretchBands and competitors’seamless elastic PU belts. Tension Decay after 12 hours at 230C, 50%RH, No Motion
  10. 10. 10 Long Term Tension Decay Comparison Tension Decay after 3 months (-400C to +500C) A comparison between Fenner Precision’s seamless elastic EPDM StretchBands and a competitors’seamless elastic PU belts.
  11. 11. 11 Comparison of Tension at Different Temperatures InstalledTension v.Temperature (-100C to +200C) As the temperature varies so does the tension on the competitor’s belt, whereas the Fenner Precision StretchBand tension remains relatively constant. Excessive tension variation can lead to slipping and tracking issues. A comparison between Fenner Precision’s 1.0mm seamless elastic EPDM StretchBands and a competitor’s 1.0mm seamless elastic PU belts.
  12. 12. 12 Installed Tension Properties at Various Temperatures InstalledTension v.Temperature (-400C to +400C) The Fenner Precision 0.65mm StretchBand remains stable over a wider range of temperatures than the competitor’s 0.65mm belt. A comparison between Fenner Precision’s 0.65mm seamless elastic EPDM StretchBands and a competitor’s 0.65mm seamless elastic PU belts. Belt tracked off pulley
  13. 13. 13 Comparison of Tension at Different Humidities InstalledTension v. Relative Humidity (50% to 100%) As the humidity varies so does the tension on the competitor’s belt, whereas the Fenner Precision StretchBand tension remains relatively constant. Excessive tension variation can lead to slipping and tracking issues. A comparison between Fenner Precision’s 1.0mm seamless elastic EPDM StretchBands and a competitor’s 1.0mm seamless elastic PU belts.
  14. 14. 14 Improved tension characteristics across a wide range of temperatures and humidities when compared to competitors’polyurethane belts. Fenner Precision EPDM StretchBands operate between -200C and +500C. At -100C the flexibility of the competitor’s belts was poor. Enhanced tracking capabilities compared to competitors’polyurethane belts. Fenner Precision StretchBands don’t require tensioners; enabling simpler, more cost-effective design systems. Property Fenner Precision 0.65mm Seamless Elastic EPDM StretchBands Competitor 0.65mm Seamless Elastic Reinforced PU Belts Installed Tension Decay = = Working Temperature Range + - Coefficient of Friction + - Electrical Conductivity + - Key: + Superior to competitor; - Inferior to competitor; = Comparable to competitor Summary of Results
