Abstract: McGraw Digital Ecosystem

 1. 1. The primary objective is to provide a framework for combining and recombining services that are scalable, extensible and interoperable: By developing an evolvable network control plane architecture MBC’s Digital Ecosystem anticipates that all existing network applications will eventually become adaptively reusable — intuitively migrating (by dynamic assignments to niches) where they are useful in fulfilling user requests —a Digital Ecosystem whereby an Intuitive Evolutionary Computing (IEC) environment is identified via Ecosystem-Orientated Architecture (EOA). Within this environment there will be applications (groups of services) created in response to user requests that will utilize evolutionary optimization (rather than replacement) to aggregate services. Thus MBC’s Digital Ecosystem (USPTO 5,577,042) is a “system solution” constantly seeking to accelerate services for its evolving user base. [INDY]

Innovation presented: A system and method that optimizes network performance at three levels. A first optimization —inspired by peer-to-peer networks whereby migration of services are distributed by a decentralized system operating continuously in time; this process feeds the second optimization —by utilizing evolutionary connectivity, operating locally on single peers thus eliminating each and every relevant application constraint. In essence: By making use of computations already performed by every peer; all peers will yield better results because a good sampling for distributed optimization is already available from existing infrastructure; then, a third optimization —all artificial operating constraints are replaced.
