Exposition<br />The beginning of the play reveals the protagonist, Andrew is moving into a different apartment as a result of his T.V. show getting cancelled. <br />He gets the role of Hamlet in an Shakespeare show. At first he seems okay about taking the position until he realizes the women in the play have a séance. <br />Later on Andrew makes everyone leave his apartment and tells his girlfriend to go upstairs. <br />
  3. 3. Inciting Incident <br />Barrymore, the ghost, asks Andrew to read some of the lines and thinks that he does it terribly. <br />Barrymore tells Andrew to really act it out, almost overacting it. <br />
  4. 4. Rising Action <br />Andrew has a lot of work to do to perfect the part of Hamlet. Adding to this, his girlfriend tells him she will not have sex until they are married. <br />Act one ends after a fencing dual with Andrew and Barrymore. Andrew will win the dual. <br />Act two starts out in a lair. Andrew, or Hamlet, banishes everyone from the lair and awaits another interaction with him and Barrymore. <br />
  5. 5. …Rising Action<br />Andrew suddenly realizes he is not playing Hamlet well and gets really nervous. <br />
  6. 6. Climax<br />Andrew performing the Hamlet. He talks to Barrymore and tells him he is doing poorly in performing. <br />
  7. 7. Falling Action<br />Andrew talks to Barrymore about Andrews poor performance. <br />Later on Andrew gets contacted by a friend, Gary, who will offer him a role in a T.V. show. It turns out Andrew will earn $3 million in the first season on the show. <br />
  8. 8. Denumount<br />Strangely, Andrew does not accept the offer from Gary. He stays in New York City to act in the theatre. <br />Andrews girlfriend, Deirdre, tells him that he is very courageous for declining the offer and staying in New York City. <br />
