  2. 2. WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY CHEST FUNDRAISING SCHOOL An accredited training service provider offering a formal qualification in Fundraising within the context of the South African Authority (SAQA)
  3. 3. COMMUNITY CHEST FUNDRAISING SCHOOL cont. Providing access to professional fundraising skills, especially targeting youth and women previously excluded from accessing professional fundraising skills
  4. 4. THE NEED FOR THE SERVICE The need has been clearly identified in the NGO sector and within the Sector Educator & Training Authorities (Setas). It has been identified as a scarce skill – This means that funds are available from the NSF to service providers meeting the need
  5. 5. THE NEED FOR THE SERVICE cont. It is estimated that there are over 100 000 fund-seeking organisations in South Africa- to date no service provider has been accredited to offer the qualification

  8. 8. SCHOOL BE FUNDED? Funds can be leveraged via the National Skills Fund to pay for learnerships and training workshops Individuals will be required to pay fees Discounted training and scholarships can be offered to indigent learners
  9. 9. HOW WILL THE SCHOOL BE FUNDED? cont. Copy write over accredited training materials will give opportunity for material to be sold The school will generate a profit that becomes an income stream for CCWC/CCSA
  10. 10. THE CCWC/CCSA/UW IMAGE AND REPUTATION The School has the potential to have a significant impact on the public profile of the CCWC/CCSA/UW W as the first accredited service provider for accredited fundraising training in South Africa
