When we are going to teach a topic it is really important to know what my students
are supposed to bring into the lesson, what I want to teach to them and what it is
supposed to be learnt at the end of the unit.
With the following chart you are asked to think about it.
Why not CLIL?

Foods give us energy.
We grow and develop
our bones and muscles.
Foods contain
vitamins, proteins and
carbohydrates.
Potatoes, tomatoes
and lettuce are
vegetables. Apple, pear
and grapes are fruits.
Some examples of
meat and fish as well
as grains and sweets.
Doing sport and eating
a balanced diet help us
to stay healthy.
Five food groups: sweets and
fats, fruits and vegetables,
meat and fish, dairy products
and grains.
How to make healthier food
choices.
What kind of food provides
us with proteins? And
vitamins? And
carbohydrates?
Apart from doing sport and
eating a balanced diet what
else could help us to stay
healthy?
Create a food wheel to see the
proportions of each food group
we should eat in a week.
We have to balance all food
groups. Eat five a day of
vegetables and fruits. Reduce
the amount of fats and sweets,
eat weekly dairy products and
combine meat and fish with
grains. Moreover, we should
drink a lot of water.
Fruit and vegetables contain
vitamins and minerals to keep
us healthy. Meat, fish and eggs
are a rich source of protein.
Milk and dairy products are
good sources of protein and
calcium. Fats, oils and sweets
give us calories and, finally,
grains provide vitamins,
minerals, carbohydrates and
other nutrients.
Getting enough sleep and rest
as well as having a good
hygiene help us to be healthy in
body and mind.

Why not CLIL? 1 TASK 4 K – W – L When we are going to teach a topic it is really important to know what my students are supposed to bring into the lesson, what I want to teach to them and what it is supposed to be learnt at the end of the unit. With the following chart you are asked to think about it.
  • 2. Why not CLIL? 2 K What do my students know about the topic before I started the unit? W What do I want my student to learn along this unit? L What have my students learnt at the end of this unit? Foods give us energy. We grow and develop our bones and muscles. Foods contain vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates. Potatoes, tomatoes and lettuce are vegetables. Apple, pear and grapes are fruits. Some examples of meat and fish as well as grains and sweets. Doing sport and eating a balanced diet help us to stay healthy. Five food groups: sweets and fats, fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy products and grains. How to make healthier food choices. What kind of food provides us with proteins? And vitamins? And carbohydrates? Apart from doing sport and eating a balanced diet what else could help us to stay healthy? Create a food wheel to see the proportions of each food group we should eat in a week. We have to balance all food groups. Eat five a day of vegetables and fruits. Reduce the amount of fats and sweets, eat weekly dairy products and combine meat and fish with grains. Moreover, we should drink a lot of water. Fruit and vegetables contain vitamins and minerals to keep us healthy. Meat, fish and eggs are a rich source of protein. Milk and dairy products are good sources of protein and calcium. Fats, oils and sweets give us calories and, finally, grains provide vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and other nutrients. Getting enough sleep and rest as well as having a good hygiene help us to be healthy in body and mind.
