  13. 13.  ARC - Asociatia Romana pentru Coaching este o organizatie profesionala care reuneste coachii profesionisti din Romania.  Obiectivul ARC este sa promoveze in tara standarde profesionale de coaching la nivelul cerut de cele mai importante asociatii profesionale internationale care ofera certificari in acest domeniu:  International Coach Federation;  European Coaching Federation;  International Association of Coaching Institutes (fost International Association of Coaching);  International Institute of Coaching (fost European Coaching Institute).

Specificul activitatii de coaching:  Specialistul în activitatea de coaching oferă servicii de învățare non-formală și dezvoltare personală sau organizațională persoanelor care prin aceste servicii doresc să schimbe ceva important în viața lor personală, profesională sau în organizația lor, să-și îmbunătățească performanțele în activitățile pe care le desfășoară sau în relațiile cu ceilalți.  Intervenția specializată a specialistului în activitatea de coaching constă în asistarea și ghidarea clientului cu mijloace și instrumente specifice în a-și manifesta capacitățile potențiale, a-și defini sau clarifica obiective specifice, a identifica resurse și blocaje, a-și înțelege propriile perspective și percepții, a înțelege contextul mai larg în care acționează, a avea încredere în forțele proprii, a învăța să caute și să aleagă soluții viabile, a elabora planuri de acțiune, a stabili modalități optime de monitorizare a propriilor rezultate.  Activitatea specialistului în activitatea de coaching se fundamentează pe principiile respectului pentru client ca expert în viața și activitatea sa – client care are resurse, dispune de creativitate și este capabil de dezvoltare în direcția dorită de acesta.
