  2. 2. Club des villes et territoires cyclables A French network of cycling friendly cities and local authorities founded in 1989. §  2012 : Founding of a parliamentary group for cycling §  2016 : Founding of a Cycling Made in France plateform
  3. 3. Indemnité kilométrique vélo (IKV) = bike kilometric allowance à Since February 2016 in France à 0,25€/km à For voluntary companies only : private sector employees + officials of the Ministry of sustainable development and the Ministry of Housing

IKV – How does it work? •  Free of charges for employers and free of taxation on income for employees at a maximum of 200€/year •  For voluntary companies only : private sector employees + officials of the Ministry of sustainable development and Housing •  Can be cumulated with a public transport reimbursement for commuter who bike to the nearest station
  5. 5. Why introducing IKV? §  Results of the experimentation conducted by ADEME in 2014 (18 companies) à Increase of 50% of the bike commutes à Number of cyclists x 2 §  Reducing absenteeism, health benefits, improve well-being…
  6. 6. The Observatory •  Collecting data and sharing good practices with companies •  Gathering arguments to make IKV mandatory and to introduce it in the public service Observatoire de l’IKV
  7. 7. Facts and Figures •  29 companies involved = 10189 employees •  211 recipients of IKV •  All sizes of company : RTE (8500 employees, Velo-Cité, 2 employees)
