In the Spiritist Institution, the activity of evangelization includes the Spiritist Evangelization Classes, special moment of living experience, learning, reflection, sharing experiences and build bonds of friendship and brotherhood among children and young people. The evangelizing activity also involves parents and family, inviting them to participate in groups or meetings aimed at the study of topics related to family life, justified in the light of the Spiritist doctrine. The relevance of the task is highlighted by various spiritual benefactors, among them, Guillon Ribeiro, 2 by saying that "it is imperative that they can be identified in the evangelization of the souls of the task highest expression today of the Spiritist doctrine"; and Vianna de Carvalho .1 to synthesize that: ... to the Spiritist Evangelization of children and youth is indeclinable the educational task of preparing future citizens from an early age, enabling them with the sublime tools of knowledge and love to carry out the commitments that they will encounter, building the new society of tomorrow.

Apprentices of the Gospel Despite being only 11 years old, Alessandra Fernandes Lacerda, student, already has a huge baggage of knowledge. Active participation of study groups for four years, explains that she likes the proposed activities during meetings, as well as the subjects dealt with. "Makes me a better person in everyday life", justified. Her whole family, parents and brother, also attend study groups. It is the same case for the student Erika Carvalho Ferreira, 12 years old, she participates since 2005 in study meetings. "I started with my mother, who took me to see the work of evangelization," she explains. Erika likes to be able to share her ideas with friends and also be able to apply in life the knowledge that she acquires there. "I learn how to know me better, to evaluate and, to relate better with others" sums up.
The personal trainer and psychotherapist Ana Rosa Brum M. Rocha, who coordinates Children's Spiritist Studies Groups since 2001, explains that the initial challenge is to help the kids to realize they are active, agents of social transformation. "In the society in which they interact, such as family and school, besides their priorities, it is difficult to propose a reflection of their attitude in their day to day. In study groups we instigate this closer look at their participation in the world” she says. She explains that it is a challenge to show the children that Jesus is a subject that even today we need to strive to apply his teachings. "That is why we study the Gospel according to Spiritism". The importance of these groups, in the evaluation of Ana Rosa, is the new outlook that children creates about life. "From the moment they realize how active they are in the society in which they live; that their attitudes actually make a difference because they are examples; that may change for the better as human beings, these children become more critical and aware of their responsibilities. They realize beyond words, that the world needs more love, understanding, solidarity, respect; and that they can contribute directly and indirectly with their actions". Ana Rosa also notes that when a family has a child participating in the study group, their involvement is inevitable. The child spontaneously involves the family in Spiritist learning and seeks to implement in life the teachings that obtained in the meetings. "Many parents come to report improvements in school work, in relationships with friends or with the family itself and also in improvement of self-esteem. In addition, having a conscious child at home helps a lot, in the process of change inherent in family groups".
Question 385 SB - Whence comes the change which occurs in the character of the young on the approach of manhood: is it the spirit that becomes modified?Spirits only enter into corporeal life in order to affect their improvement, their self-amelioration. The weakness of corporeal youth tends to render them more pliable, more amenable to the counsels of those whose experience should aid their progress. It is thus that evil tendencies are repressed, and faulty characters are gradually reformed; and this repression and reformation constitute the duty confided by God to those who assume the parental relation, a sacred mission of which parents will have to render a solemn account to Him. "You see, therefore, that childhood is not only useful, necessary, indispensable, but that it is, moreover, the natural result of the laws which God has established, and which govern the universe. The possibility given by the malleability of childhood personality allows the moral guidance conveniently applied to child give her contours more suited to moral standards as an adult. In this way, human childhood is extremely important for the spirit that incarnated as the spirit in the response referenced above. It is during this phase that the spirit is more likely to receive the guidelines that will facilitate the necessary moral adjustment.Not only the parents, but also all that shall ensure the moral elevation of humanity must give as much attention and importance to the work of education and evangelization, especially the children.Who populates the Earth is the spirit world, from there comes the beings that inhabit the world we want to be inhabited by pure Spirits. In the other hand, who populates the spiritual world is the physical world with its discarnate; if we want Earth populated by good spirits we should send upgraded discanates to erraticity. This must be our contribution, and this is the role of all educators, parents, teachers, evangelists, etc., Spiritists or not.
Who are the Evangelizers?Blessed the men of Spiritist guidance, indulging their strength and goodwill to the planting of good seeds! Considering that "the children's heart is a blessed soil where we must house the sowing of eternal life" .1 the Spiritist Evangelization presents itself as a true field of sowing and the Evangelist as the responsible sower. Its action should be based on the principles of brotherhood, of doctrinal fidelity and affection, in order to create opportunities for the children and teens learning and coexistence under the Spiritist knowledge and experience of the teachings of Jesus. Sensitivity, consistency, empathy, responsibility, knowledge, joy and zeal are some of the features of evangelizers who seek the creation of interactive learning spaces and of friendship with evangelists.The evangelizer should avail himself of the proper and continuous pedagogical preparation and the Spiritist doctrine so that ... no promising seeds stunt before a conductive soil, because of the inadequacy of teaching methods and techniques, by basic content, by the ineffectiveness of an inopportune and inadequate planning. All work yields more at hand actually enabled. By the relevance of the evangelizing activity, Bezerra de Menezes symbolizes the path to be trodden, stating that "with Jesus in love ventures and with Kardec in the strength of the Truth, we will have all our steps guided and all balance in our conduct," and invites everyone to embrace, with commitment and tenacity, the task of evangelization with the children's souls, "with the same anxiety and promptness with which the farmer soon wakes up to the ground clearance preparing the sowing of his hopes for the abundant months of desired harvest".
Words to childhood parents and Evangelizers "With the objective to improve an incarnate Spirit, The Spirit is more susceptible to the impressions that it receives during this period, able to assist in the advancement, receiving contribution from those tasked to educate them" (The Spirits Book, question 383) The Spiritist view of the child differs fundamentally from the sustained by doctrines that preach the uniqueness of corporeal existence. For these doctrines, the child, at birth contains only the biological heir from close or remote ancestors. The Spiritist view also differs, from other doctrines that believe in reincarnation that consider the return of the Spirit to the material world only for punitive reasons or, at best, for the accomplishment of a mission. Spiritism does not deny reincarnation, and teaches that what is perceived as a punishment it is only the law of cause and effect in action. However, it goes beyond, expanding the understanding of life itself, by revealing the evolutionary aspect of reincarnation. When seen under this perspective, the child is an immortal Spirit, beholder of an immense baggage of proficiencies experienced in other times, heiress of themselves, which return to Earth, in order to acquire new knowledge and especially, to redesign its way of doing things, adjusting it as much as possible, to the postulates of Jesus’ Gospel. That is how we learn in Spiritism; the reincarnation envisions the continuation of the evolutionary journey of the Spirit.When the Spirits responded Kardec regarding the usefulness of going through childhood, the Upper Level Spirits attributed it to the responsibility of implementing the educational procedures, not only to parents, but to all those who have the opportunity to provide the child the teachings and examples that will assist them to acquire new knowledge and to reformulate their way of doing things, i.e. re-educate themselves through a conscious effort to externalize their light, divine heritage that all Spirits are endowed, as per Jesus’ teachings (Matthews, 5: 16).Among these "tasked to educate", as the expression of Spirits (the Gospel, sec. 14, that is where you will find the children and youth evangelizers, linked to brothers recently arrived from the Spiritual World, not by bonds of consanguinity nor the physical kinship, but by the most sacred links of the noble task undertaken from the Master Evangelizer. It is understood that were admitted in a work that is a continuation of that started in the Spirit World, in the preparation of the Spirit for his return to frontbench. The Spiritist Evangelization School is considered to be an outpost of the Spirit World, one should meditate on the extension and the responsibility of the task that is assigned to the Evangelist. Aware of this grand responsibility to enlighten consciences, urge them to prepare conveniently through sincere prayer, quiet meditation, and uplifting study, so that his words generate a magnetic charge of deep conviction, and not just of superficial information, can touch the little ones, because those who are not convinced of what they say, rarely manages to persuade someone. As an example it is appropriate to recall the words of the Benefactor Alexander, quoted in the book "Missionaries of light", on page 311: "The brother who teaches virtue by living by example has his words loaded with positive magnetism, establishing spiritual edification within the Spirits that listen. Without this characteristic teaching the doctrine is almost always in vain." In this way, the soft although firm words, will open the doors of understanding of the child, providing opportunity for the sowing of the Gospel teachings, now explained in the light of the Spiritist doctrine. The Benefactor Alexander must have been inspired by the words in the "sermon on the mountain", in the last verse, where Matthew highlights the effectiveness of Jesus’ words: "For he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes." (Matthew, 7: 29)The evangelizer should be aware that the Spiritualist Evangelization School, affectively called "day-care or child-drop-off", the School that enriches the Spirit the most in the world in spite of the short time available for the conviviality with the child, despite the misunderstanding of some leaders of Spiritist Centers, and the material challenges, is the most favorable to the deployment of new era, due to the liberating teachings that are able to take the evangelist to a change of mentality, that will enable him to collaborate effectively in the implementation of a fairer society, more human, more fraternal, as the spirits encouraged.We should note that as Spiritism brings back Jesus’ teachings, in its simplicity with its original objectivity and strength, it will void that mystical feeling of attendance to the Temple - so called the House of God – and reveals the world as a religious workshop experience, therefore for the Spiritual improvement. In addition to the temple other religious references are annulled such as the figure of the guru, the priest, the pastor. Having this in mind, the evangelizer should meditate about what he represents to the child that effectively observes him as religious reference, despite its commitment to show the child real benchmarks in the respected figures that have brought their contributions to the illumination of humanity through the years, in which the figure of Jesus stands out.The evangelizer should make every effort with the full force of his understanding in order to improve more and more the implementation of its work with the children. This enhancement involves three main aspects, which must occupy the foreground of their concerns: the think, feel and do. Thinking leads the evangelizer to reflection, to full awareness of the value of his work. When meditating about this role in the evangelization of children, the evangelizer should assess the level of his commitment to the task; what space it occupies in his mind; How many hours a week are dedicated to the preparation of the message that he will lead to the child who expects orientation from him, in order to walk safely in this so troubled world today. Without self-judgment of a great missionary or enlightened Spirit, it's just that the evangelizer is aware of the relevance and value of the task, even though their class of evangelists is small, which is "class" of one! And if the evangelizer has any questions regarding the validity of his effort, he should remember that in the mediumnshipdisobsesson group – which should be called "evangelization of the discarnate" - a group of several people are involved, sometimes for a long time, in forwarding a single Spirit that often takes the mistaken path because it was not evangelized in childhood.When they examined the results of the tasks carried out in the Spiritists institutions, it becomes evident that the Evangelization of children is the most important activity, as it benefits the children's Spirit since childhood, influencing their conduct, giving them guidelines that will help them not only in their passage through Earth, but they will also serve as beacon to illuminate their conscience throughout his life as an immortal Spirit. So while recognizing the value that the Spiritist Centers had in developing other tasks, everyone can easily reach to the conclusion that the Evangelization of children should have primacy, this activity should be look at with greater responsibility on the part of leaders of the Spiritist institutions, for being the vehicle the spirit in a true continuation of the work that begun in theSpirit world, during the preparations for their return. This particular should be periodically reminded parents to have them as partners at work as they share the greater part of responsibility. It is the deep awareness of the irreplaceable value of the task that should encourage the evangelizer in moments of discouragement, when the misunderstanding of the leaders of the Center where he works, the lack of physical space, of suitable material, the lack of cooperation of the parents, the difficulties with the child – all these difficulties, they want to get it out of this blessed harvest that was convened.The Evangelizer should also engage in the development of his ability to feel. We all have in us the love, in a State of latency. This divine heritage that the Spirit will reveal through successive centuries can be accelerated by a conscious effort of exteriorization of each creature. And the Evangelizer is challenged to a love effort, because who doesn't love has no condition to arouse in children the desire to love. The thinking is very important, vital even. But the thought without the feeling can lead a very cold posture, calculated, that although is mathematically correct only within the parameters of the educational purposes, seen from an academic angle, doesn't sit well with the Spirit of the work of evangelization, which should Excel by encouraging the development of virtues recommended by the Gospel. And after years of work with a child the evangelizer comes to find out that he deviated at his teens or youth age, the evangelizer should not get discourage, judging lost all his effort over successive years. The good never gets lost. Sooner or later, maybe with a pain contest, the seed collected with the laughter of childhood will germinate, even watered by tears in adulthood.
Pedagogical Proposal In the Brazilian Society of Spiritist Studies (BSSS), study groups for teenagers and children began in 1996, after a request from the spirit Leocádio José Correia (psicophoned message through the medium Maury Rodrigues da Cruz). The proposal is based on pedagogical political project and in the curriculum of mediumnship developed by the institution and its central point the constant stimulus for the "learn to think". The study group functions as a laboratory of life, in which they essentially exercise love your neighbor, tolerance, patience, acceptance of others with its faults and qualities and, above all, the acceptance of themselves. This happens through dynamic, games, always focusing on the basics: God, Jesus, reincarnation, free will and mediumnship."The philosophy of this work considers that the child and the teenager are par excellence the bright future of mankind, since they bring the potential for a new world, as well as the seed itself brings the potential of tree that will come to be. However, it is necessary to ensure and guarantee that they know, reach, develop and expand their strengths, minds, potentialities, and possibilities", explains the Coordinator of these groups, Reginaldo Francisco Domingos. He also explains that the Spiritist Education aims to promote learning of universal values that sustain the human being in its evolutionary journey, so that children and teens are active and participative, authors and builders of their own life, able to contribute in the construction of a new life. "In the face of a world so troubled, it has never been so imperative to resume the pedagogy of the great master of the spirit that was, is and will always be Jesus Christ, that proposes spiritual ethics, encoding the cosmic Gospel, since it represents a code of moral-spiritual values that exist and are present within all men, so are independent of religious segments, but belong to the ontological framework of human religiosity" says.
EVANGELIZATION-URGENT CHALLENGE These are just like those times, although there are two thousand years that separate them. The oppression and power have changed hands; however, they continue generating misfortune and pain. Mankind is still a slave of its passions, suffering from the hypertrophy of feelings; while the monster of war, with its “vacuum”, persists in devouring lives ... There are struggles of destruction everywhere, just like it was in those days when Jesus came to initiate the era of the immortal spirit. However, today one can still add to those negative conditions, among other unfortunate incidents to the destruction of the family Institution, releasing children and young people who get caught in this rush of powerful overwhelming madness, apparently announcing the end of the times of ethics and civilization, in heartbreaking return to barbarism and Primitivism. What happened with the message of Christ, which was able change the structures of the Roman Empire in its time, Meanwhile Spiritism, comes today to lay the foundations of a new humanity, putting its foundations in the Virgin soil of childhood and youth, in charge of driving tomorrow, the man of the forthcoming, the culture of the future. Nevertheless, the pessimistic diagnosis of denying philosophers of the 19th century, declaring that the current man would be skeptical, atheist, today’s distressed society, disappointing them, is making its journey back towards God, meaning its presence in the Spirits, the vigorous way that emulates progress, the perfection will not be lost. For the disenchantment of the anarchists and nihilists, Spiritism restores national faith in consciousness and establishes the secure foundations on which rises the Temple of peace, where the happiness will be blessing accessible to all.
Without a doubt, the philosophical Revolution, scientific achievements and technological revolution will open for the mankind; horizons never before dreamed ... However, these facts will not be enough for mankind to enjoy harmony with himself as well as his neighbor. As we look through the paths shown by the reaction to the spiritualist concept, and the orthodoxy of the past, scientific research and culture unconnected from God, achieving admirable external results, which bring about in tremendous drain of feelings. The creature enriched by intellect, with rare exceptions, stumbles in the abyss of the riot and hallucinates, toughing himself into irreversible madness or unhappy suicide, or it is intoxicated by the values of indifference, mummified by indifference with the superior emotions, killing hope and love. This is because lack of Jesus in individuals hearts and minds. Spiritism holds the Honorable task of bringing them back, active and docile, vigorous and liberating, as occurs before. The voices from beyond the grave, that obey the command, promote, on Earth, a group awakening, ruining the old foundations of materialism, in different expressions in which it manifests itself, creating new understanding of life and the reality of being immortal. In this sublime achievement, the flowering of children and youth, tomorrow's progress wheels that move by just before present, assumes the greatness of this challenge that we must accept, combining efforts on both sides of life, safely and wisely, avoiding the regrettable errors from the past.Mankind will be what they make of their childhood. The misunderstood child, will result in a young revolted and assumes the position of a violent and traumatized adult. A despised child will resurface in an insecure teenager that models an unhappy adult personality. The child is a seeding field, the young man is a fertilized field, and the adult is the harvested production. According to the quality of the seed we sow we will harvest.
Therefore, the task of education is of relevance, while the task of evangelization is a saving urgency. Who instructs, provides a means for the mind broadening and the understanding of things to understand life. Who educates, creates ethical and cultural values for a noble and blissful experience. Who evangelize, frees the Spirit to a happy life. Evangelizing is to bring back Christ to infant soil as blessing of highest magnitude which the result still cannot really be assessed. The evangelized child becomes worth young man that becomes a citizen of love, with significant lite baggage for a lifetime, even if moving in external darkness. ( .) Childhood is the period in which children can learn best, while in adolescence if seizes, and in adulthood it is easier to understand, avoiding the period in which the old man just scolds... Spiritist Evangelization is the Sun in the souls, brightening the whole world under the constellations of stars in the sky, they are the blessed of the Lord committed on His behalf for an urgent transformation on Earth, in “Regenerating World” and Peace.
