The Commonwealth of Massachusetts (CWM) is responsible for accommodating the needs of all of the state’s agencies including IT support, disaster recovery, and data management. At the time, they were using their own data center in Chelsea, Massachusetts, but, were also relying on a third party data center in New Jersey to manage their servers, which was costing them extra money due to storage and routine testing.
With the new Order 510 issued, companies were ordered to consolidation IT systems within executive departments. The CWM called upon Cisco to help with the process.
