  1. 1. The Internet of Everything How more relevant and valuable connections will change the world.
  2. 2. Cisco Confidential 2©2014 Cisco and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. While the Internet is not a cure-all, it is the one technology that has the potential to rectify many of the challenges we face. Already, the Internet has benefited many individuals, businesses, and countries by improving education through the democratization of information, allowing for economic growth through electronic commerce, and improving business innovation by enabling greater collaboration. So, how will the #InternetofEverything will change and improve the world?
  3. 3. What is the Internet of Everything? Today, there are more things connected to the internet than there are people in the world. In the very near future, pretty much everything you can imagine will wake up. We're leading the next step in the evolution of the internet and helping to change the way we work, live, play and learn.
  4. 4. When organizations connect, everyone has something to gain. The Internet of Everything isn't about connecting apples and windmills just out of curiosity. As much as $19 trillion in economic value will be up for grabs over the next decade for businesses and institutions that successfully take advantage of the Internet of Everything. The IoE Value Index Tool found here will let you pull apart the data to see what your organization could gain.
  5. 5. Geographic borders will fall, language barriers will diminish and misunderstandings will disappear. Today Cisco is already taking teamwork to new heights, enabling people to work together from anywhere and all the time. And as we continue to make the network bigger, faster and more accessible, businesses and people will communicate and evolve exponentially fast.
  6. 6. When the retail sector fully uses the power of the internet. We might see shelves and inventories talk directly to produce, farms, shopping carts and customers’ refrigerators. With the entire supply chain networked, information will flow freely, and the things we buy will talk to other things in intelligent ways to remove the mundane, transform the shopping experience and make people’s lives better.
  7. 7. What happens when cars connect to the Internet? Cars will talk to other cars about road conditions. They will check our calendars and team with GPS satellites to get us places faster. And in an accident, they will file our insurance claims swiftly and painlessly. The Internet of Everything will turn our cars into connected, intelligent computer networks.
