Key – in minutes deploy a network slice across domains and bring under Operations management and LifeCycle Management – stop and think about that statement –IN MINUTES
Information Preparation Provisioning Integration Operate
We are going to explain you workflow to be used for Network as a Service (N-a-a-S) which enables you to auto-deploy 5G Services
<Step-1> Input your requirements for services – Transport, Packet Core, Security etc. The information is fed into workflow manager which breakdown your requirements into smaller task and sequence them The information is stored into service catalogue database Requirements are sent to backend system using API
<Step-2> Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) which receive input from workflow manager thru API NSO uses service template for each task (Transport, Packet Core, Security etc.) NSO send service template to another platform called Elastic Service Controller (ESC) to create VNF resources
<Step-3> Both NSO and ESC work together (in synchronized way) to create resources and provision them on NFV infrastructure We have three layers of NFVI – infrastructure, network slice (logical categorization of resources) Once resources creation and provisioning is completed, we perform automated testing
<Step-4> We integrate newly created network resources to Assurance platform Service assurance manages health using key performance indicators (KPI) and machine learning based anomaly detection Fault management and critical alarms using advanced machine learning algorithms
<Step-5> We manage lifecycle of newly created resources and function includes Service and resources managements Resources expansions/adjustments based on demand Resources deletion once service is retired
Not sure this is needed..
Network slicing enables operators to offer small packaged solutions that are pre-wrapped or tightly integrated to deliver on the service TTM promise and vertical specific attributes enabling new market opportunities for the SP. The RAN Wifi and small cell in enterprises virtualizes and are delivered a a service.. Venues / Enterprises own more of the transmission assets in building .. granting relief on densification financing challenges faced by operators.
