  2. 2. The hotel We chose Harlem Bed & Breakfast, because it is cheap (a double costs only $125 per night), it has breakfast included, and it is in Manhattan, at the 120th street, so it is near the subway (lines 4-5-6) http://www.harlembedandbreakfast.com/
  3. 3. 1 st Day Ellis Island & Lower Manhattan
  4. 4. Ferry to Ellis Island: we see the Statue of Liberty Visit to the Ellis Island Immigration Museum (40$): It was the national federal immigration station. Immigrants had to pass through it in order to enter the US. http://www.ellisisland.org/ Ellis Island
  5. 5. Lunch: Starbucks We chose to go to Starbucks because it is the largest coffeehouse company in the world and it is near the ferry. http://www.starbucks.com/

In its churchyard are buried many of the firsts newyorkers . </li></ul><ul><li>Wall Street: is the first permanent home of the New York Stock Exchange, the world's largest stock exchange. </li></ul><ul><li>Seaport: Brooklyn Bridge </li></ul>Lower Manhattan
  7. 7. <ul><li>In and around New York City, &quot;Ground Zero&quot; is generally understood to mean the site of the World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks. </li></ul><ul><li>Washington Square is one of the best known places of New York City. </li></ul>

  10. 10. Chinatown & Little Italy <ul><li>Chinatown : one of the oldest ethnic Chinese enclaves outside of Asia. Here there is the highest concentrations of Chinese people in the Western hemisphere. </li></ul><ul><li>Little Italy: once highly populated by Italian immigrants. Today it mainly consists of Italian stores and restaurants. </li></ul>

Many films have been set here. </li></ul>

  17. 17. <ul><li>Broadway is a wide avenue in New York City which runs the full length of Manhattan and continues into northern Westchester County. Broadway is famous as the pinnacle of the American theater industry. </li></ul><ul><li>Rockefeller Center or Rockefeller Plaza is a complex of 19 commercial buildings in New York . It is famous for its lake over which at Christmas is put the Christmas Tree. </li></ul>
  18. 18. <ul><li>Saint Patrick's Cathedral is a decorated Neo-Gothic-style Roman Catholic cathedral church in front of Rockefeller Center. </li></ul>
